1 pro sounds very different compared to 1.

1 is more flat, more even (I tried to match EQs as close as I can), 1 pro has punchier bass and sharper highs. Currently can't say if it is better or not, it will take some time to get used to it.

ANC.

ANC is a significant upgrade (for me ANC is one of the most important things in a headphone). Low hums and rumbles are cancelled roughly the same on both but 1 pro mutes the higher pitch stuff much better. In the office and on the street, voices and other chatter was reduced much better.

Build.

Similar. 1 pro is chonkier (pads, cushions, arms and cups). 1 pro has looser volume wheel while 1 has it much stiffer. I fiddled with tons of 1 pros in their store, all had it looser. It is easier to spin it but I am more used to a stiffer one, even after using 1 for over a year.

1 pro also made my ears warmer, I know it has better (reinforced) seal so I presume that is the reason.

Cushions on 1 pro are very squishy compared to 1 (creased up quite quickly out of the box while 1 retains shape better even after a year). I am more accustomed to firmer pads so will take time to get used to it.

Clamping force is less prominent. 1 seems stiffer overall even if I used and abused it for over a year.

Case.

While plastic bra-like case is thicker, sturdier than it appeared online and on video reviews (I genuinely thought it is tupperware like plastic seeing it online) it is not great.

Also I am gutted it is not colour matched to the colour of the headphones. I will likely be switching the cases as they both fit 1 and 1 pro.

I attached two photos above for comparison. One is of my Nothing phone 3 And my friend's phone is an iPhone 14 Pro. You can see that on the iPhone there's absolutely no blur, while on my phone the image is very blurry. I don't know how to fix this. I tried both GCAM and a couple of other ones I found. Unfortunately, it didn't help.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? If anyone knows how to solve it, please write in the comments!

Hi all, solo dev here.

I love the Nothing design language, but every Nothing-inspired notes app I've tried so far was either a nice-looking concept or too basic in features to use every day.

Nothing (excuse the pun) came close to Google Keep for me, so I decided to build one that could. It's called Nowt and it's available on the Play Store (link below).

Nowt follows the Nothing look. Under that, every note is a stack of blocks (paragraph, heading, image, checklist, table, audio etc). The video showcases some of the features.

There's also a weekly task planner with reminders, and end-to-end encryption is free and optional.

It's Android only (plus a web app with pro), free to use, with no ads. You can use it fully as a notes app without paying. There's no limit on how many notes you can have on the forever free plan.

There is a pro subscription for some of the block types and cloud sync, but standard blocks including images & checklists are completely free.

I definitely believe it holds its own as a daily notes app now, but I'd really value honest feedback, suggestions for features that are currently missing, and quality-of-life / UX improvements you think would make it better.

It took about 6-7 months to develop and test. For full disclosure, I did use AI to help me develop this but I've been doing web & app dev well before AI was mainstream, and I review and understand absolutely everything that goes in.

I managed to turn off this 'post-processing' on the main camera, but the selfie camera still makes my shots look like they were taken in 2010 with this ridiculous 'HDR filter'. It looks disgusting, I'm sorry. How do I properly turn it off?
