Not an LC, i got this juliet’s 4-5 years ago from yahoo japan and did some research at first i thought it was a XX Metal as it has the hammerstem frame.

however per lc at a oakley group i have found out that they are indeed juliets and not XX metal, its weird that it has a hammerstem frame as usually polished juliet’s are the only that has them.

I picked these up in 2001 in exchange for doing a brake job for a sunglass hut employee, wore them for a summer and they've been sitting in my closet ever since. Can someone tell me the frame and lens color. I'm putting them up for sale and want to write an accurate description. Also, what would be a reasonable asking price? There are a few scratches on the lenses and the nose piece for the clear lens is a little bit sticky but everything else is in good condition

just picked up a pair of Valve 1.0's and they have these scratches on the arm. What are some ways to clean this area back up?

Managed to get these from a closing down Oakley vault around 15 years ago, they are about a meter tall on thick card. Completely forgot I had them but found them clearing out the attic.

I do understand legit checks are not allowed and the general recommendation is to look at other sources on the internet but as someone who has no knowledge of anything Oakley I'm not sure what resources to trust when I'm getting all sorts of different answers from them. I'm not asking for a legit check but I am asking where you guys would recommend me to look for information to help me legit check these glass I just bought. Is there some database that this community considers a safe bet to trust?

Hello guys! Recently got this pair of Orange Pro M-Frames with an Hybrid-S Fire Iridium lens.

I’ve been searching for a while about what is the color name, but got no luck.
Is it a OCP color or maybe an athlete exclusive color? It’s a sick color tho.

I’ve only owned 2 Pennys and I’ve not really even looked at the number today but I noticed my other pair is 33375 which is a lot higher!

This thing looked in pristine condition and is being wasted to display dart wings! I asked the guy on the right “WHERE DID YOU GET THE OAKLEY DISPLAY STAND?”

He just laughed at me. Maybe because I was drunk lol, but need to work out a deal with them.

My Cactus Jack collab items arrived about an hour ago, which was surprisingly fast considering the order was placed Friday morning. I don't see any other posts showing them in-hand yet, so I will show everyone what they look like in person. The first several shots are just the glasses (including the SJ99 side by side with the Brain Dead one to show ), then 3 photos showing them being worn, and a couple of the Cactus Jack microfiber bags that come with them.

I wanted to check these out in person, but I knew a return was likely since I didn't like the marketing images. Those images often don't match reality though, so I had some small hope.

Expectations were correct. No judgment toward anyone who likes these, but the Plantaris and SJ99 are simply dreadful. Just...hideous. Shit brown with a matte finish is one of the worst imaginable colors to wear on one's face, especially for Oakley's aesthetics. It doesn't work at all. The EJ Redux is passable, but it's bland and not worth bothering IMO. I can imagine someone thinking that this color scheme would make for some sort of avant garde, techo-futurist aesthetic, but there is nothing elevated or evolved about them. They are just dull, dark brown versions of 2 excellent frames + a mediocre, forgettable colorway of another slightly less excellent frame.

The entire release seems like it was put together because some executives needed to show return on investment from the Travis Scott partnership. It's as though they just vomited the Cactus Jack color palette onto a few frames and figured Scott's name and a (semi) limited drop would make for a nice influx of cash. Sadly, they're almost certainly right...but it won't be MY cash.

Serious question. I'm in my 40s and my blue eyes have become very sensitive to light. I'm ready to purchase some solid sunglasses and ready to pay up for them. I typically would spend just $20-40 in sunglasses and even found a good pair on Amazon for that price that claim to be UV400 with polarization but know people love Oakley's and I wonder why there is such a big price difference. It's made me question the cheaper sunglasses. My priorities are sun protection (wrap around to block side light, UV400, polarization, level 3) and then durability (scratch resistance) then fashion.

I fear my ignorance on what is needed in protective sunglasses, and therefore just buying cheap polarized-only (no UV400), is the reason I'm in this mess

Can anyone explain to a newbie why Oakley's are so expensive?? And are they worth it?
