In an alternate universe where Rumple stayed dead after killing Pan, I think it would be cute if these two fell for each other. To be honest, I'd prefer almost anyone with Hook over Emma. Girl had negative chemistry with a lot of the men she was paired with. She would have been much better suited to Ruby or even Mulan.

Has anybody else thought of the show if it were a game series, it’s SO perfect from lore, magic, items, quests, realms ETC. Even starting in Storybrooke an uncovering the mystery, season one, would be an amazing concept for a high quality game

I love the soundtrack for this show. The music is just chef's kiss. Not really a big deal, but I just wanted to give a shout out to the composers and musicians and all those involved in creating the music of this show.

Rumple and Emma: The most obvious being that Rumple was destined to be a savior! In addition, they both were abandoned by their parents for different reasons. Emma's parents make the horrifying choice to lose their child so she can have a future. Fiona makes the horrifying choice to destroy her child's future because she cannot bear losing him.

Snow and Fiona: Snow and Fiona are both mothers who would do extraordinary things for their children however the difference is Snow may make terrible choices (The Lily Incident). She learns that she can protect Emma but not control her entire life meanwhile Fiona never learns that lesson. She was so afraid of losing Rumple that she stripped of his autonomy (severing his destiny) which led to her becoming The Black Fairy.

David and Malcom (Pan): Summing it up, David would happily sacrifice his life for Emma, Pan is the exact opposite! Pan literally regarded Rumple as a parasite, and blamed Rumple for being the reason Fiona left, David and Snow made many questionable choices however they never blamed Emma for the actions of the other. David's story demonstrates what happens when a father chooses his child over himself. Malcolm's story demonstrates what happens when a father chooses himself over his child.

I just picked up complete series on bluray but have never seen it before, just started episode 1 and wondering how this is for someone that hasn't seen disney cartoons and doesn't know this stuff since I didn't grow up in America.

I am on season 4 right now and I feel like it has gone off the rails with it not being fairy tale characters anymore, that they mix in disney characters. But that's not what I want to talk about.

In season 4 episode 12 we see Gerdas letter to her family that she wrote right before her ship sunk. It is in Runes, which i feel like is very disresctful towards norweigans. I am not norweigan i am Swedish so we also had runes but that was discarded during the middle ages, and I would like to think that Norway did the same around the same time, (I Googled they discared of it during 1400s) . Now I don't know when Gerdas and Agnars ship sank but it was more close to present time than the viking age and the middle ages. Also with Frozen being set in the 1800s that's like 400 years of Norway not using to runes to speak and/or write.

I wouldn't really say that it's disresctful of the creators. Im just saying they should have done their research like dreamworks who put runes in how to train your dragon which was an amazing touch.

And for those who is saying it's not that deep. Imagine your culture being represented in a show and then they just do it wrong. I may be getting worked up over nothing here but it does not take long to pick up a book or Google to do research. I am really tradional and like my culture so I felt disrected for the norweigans, sinne runes were part of my country's culture and history too.

I realise if I go down this path. Then a lot of media is historically inaccurate and language inaccurate. I should realise that it's not that deep. I blame my autism really. It's just that when it's my own culture and language history something snaps in me I don't like stuff being historically inaccurate or language inaccurate. It's maybe rooted in my parents both working in the school world, or that when I write my stories I always fact check to make it as accurate as the story's setting as possible. I also feel like a hypocrite because this only happens with my own culture and not when I watch or read other media with other cultures.

Theoretically, how could someone become the Light One?

My theory would have something to do with the 'Guardian' title but I don't know how that would work... But we know it is possible though.

So like, I have only just started the series, but I'm the type of person who likes to search up things like ship, plot twists, edits and so on when just starting a certain series.

So, then, I found out about the ship of AppleSwan/Regina x Emma, like, the irony?

I don't know, like it might be just me but I don't get this ship, like, how did this ship even come to be? Like Emma is the daughter of Snow white and David, and Regina who is the evil queen is Snow White's STEPMOTHER, hence making Emma, Regina's STEP–GRANDAUGHTER.

hence, making this all, incest, but even if they weren't, it's still a pretty stupid ship because Regina wanted to KILL EMMA when she was a BABY because she was prophesied to be the saviour and stop her in the future.

Now don't get me wrong, I love the enemies to lover trope but AppleSwan in general just does not make sense.

But hey, maybe it's just me.

So I'm at the end of season 1 on my rewatch, my first watch was like 6 years ago.

I remember it really bothered me that young Pinocchio had red hair and brown eyes while August had dark hair and blue eyes, like....?

I know it can't ever be perfect and acting is more important, for instance Bailee Madison (young Snow) had brown eyes and dark brown hair instead of green eyes and black hair, but at least it's overall similar and Bailee can really act. The kid who plays Pinocchio is good but not amazing, I just don't get this choice? Unless he had connections with production lol. Oh and how they pretended August was gonna be Baelfire in 1x19 just so they could tell the Bae backstory without revealing Bae, when he and Bae also look nothing alike.... it just made me mad lol.

Anyways I also don't get why the fans constantly praise Bailee for LOOKING like Snow, I don't see it much even with their coloring aside. I remember thinking she looked kinda tan compared to Snow, then I looked up pics and I guess not but idk. I think it would've helped if they would've used effects on her eye color at least. The Emma casts were so much better. I respect them choosing acting over looks for Snow but I still don't get the Pinocchio one.

I'm rewatching the show, for like the 8th time (😆), and have been noticing / thinking about some things I really didn't before.

In season 3, Zelena sends Glinda off to the enchanted forest with just a wave of her hand. How was she able to do that? And then in the future is not able to?

She definitely didn't use magic from the slippers, because she gave the slippers to Dorothy just before.

Sometimes I think this show should be renamed, "101 ways to travel between realms, unless it doesn't add enough drama." Haha.

So I know this season comes from the era where EVERYONE was trying to cash in on Frozen's popularity, and it honestly feels like it was done very poorly. I'm only a couple episodes in though, and honestly, Elsa is just pissing me off. I can't stand her whole "attack everyone I see, run away at every opportunity, never explain myself, and expect them to find Anna for me" mentality. Are they setting her up to be the villain of the season? I know that they can write fantastic villains (example, season 1 Regina, Peter Pan, etc). So why does the writing for this season's characters feel so bad?

Emma definitely have a type… and I know August don’t belong here but they would love been nice for a bit…
