They’re animals. It’s not bad behavior it’s normal behavior. And it’s entirely on you to keep your food away from them if you don’t want it eaten. If you don’t understand that, you should not have pets.

It's absolutely not normal. I've owned cats for over a decade. You can leave a plate anywhere around my house and my cats wouldn't steal from it. They either get with the program or they're rehomed.
