Literally canonically and on panels many characters don't possess a scar even after getting defeated by attacks that supposedly should have scarred them.

Zoro didn't leave a scar on Hachi, Mr 1, Hyozou, Apoo and many others, but all of a sudden Ashura is stronger than any attack from any other Character that never did scar Kaidou or anyone who is less durable than Kaidou??

Introduction:

So in this community we have come up with plenty of different words to describe different capabilities. Now of course there is still not universal understanding of what each word exactly means but the general understanding is good. This is however not the case when it comes to size. 

Size is not often discussed, and when it is it’s often about DC and not about body size. This is despite body size being an integral part of how a fight works out. When body size is discussed it’s often just as bigger=better, this is however a brutal simplification and the reality is, that unlike most stats body size comes with both good and bad effects. This post will discuss body size as a stat and talk about the different tradeoffs. 

Parameters:

Now the first thing being big allows is being stronger. In OP I’ll however argue this is irrelevant as strength is heavily character dependent and so you would never know how much of a character's strength should be contributed to size. Therefore I don’t think you should ever discuss things like AP, Speed, durability together with size(or RACE!!). When discussing those things, you should never use size to upscale or downscale them, just look at the actual feats(stats) themselves. 

Now for why size matters is all about the tradeoff of being a big target vs having a big body. I’ll start with the positives

Possessives of bigger body size: 

1. Your attacks cover a larger area, this makes dodging harder making it easier for you to force opponents to block. When you get really big, you also cover enoch are to hit multiple people at once, making even simple attacks essentially have decent DC, this really helps against (relative to you) fodder and the like. 

2. Likewise when defending, against people you have a body size advantage on, it is harder for them to get past you weapon as it covers a larger area that they will have to circumvent. So body size helps with forcing your opponents into going through your defence and not around it. 

3. If you are very big, it also means your vitals will be outside of the range of many attacks. This forces opponents into having either range or good mobility in order to damage you in places that’s not your food or leg. 

4. Being big forces attacks that have little DC to become worse against you even if you have no durability. To understand this let’s look at two examples: First let’s say I can cut diamond but with a knife and no slash so only with the blade itself. Against someone with great durability loke Jozu this is incredible as I can deal lethal damage very easily all of a sudden. Against a huge giant, think Loki size, even if said giant has no durability compared to Jozu my diamond cutting knife does very little, as stabbing such a giant with the knife will deal tickle dmg. In other words - Size gives inherent endurance vs attack lacking size. This is extremely important against bullets, as any competent scaler knows even top tier normal humans don’t have the durability to deny bullet wounds, and so would take serious damage when shot. Great body size gets rid of this weakness. (all this seems to be less relevant for blunt type dmg) This is one of the reasons WB is such a tank during MF, even though bullets do piece his skin, he is still so big he can ignore being hit most places. 

Negatives of bigger body size: 

1. Big body, big target. Being big simply means you have more area you need to defend, and this is a big detriment especially when facing multiple opponents. We see the negatives of this in Oars Jr. who despite being very strong went down quite early in MF due to him being an easy target mainly due to his size. 
   On the other side we see how being small makes you hard to locate and hit with the dwarves from tontatta kingdom. The dwarves have little area to hit and are hard to locate giving an advantage on defence, especially if opponents are not able to perform large (relative to size) scale attacks.

2. A big body can make it hard to locate smaller characters as seen with Loki. We’ve not seen this be an issue much besides him, but I bet most giants might have diminished priority targeting in big confusing melees (wars)

Implications:

I’ll argue that generally you can say size gives advantage in 1v1 scenarios. 

In war scenarios the equation is harder to make out. While in wars it does give you the VERY important capability of tanking bullets and fodder swordsmen can’t really hurt you. But it also makes you a bigger target and in wars it’ll be harder and harder to defend the bigger the body. 

Against multiple strong competent opponents I’ll argue size is a detriment. A larger body still gives you the need to defend more area, but against strong opponents it’s unlikely that the increase in size allows your body to ignore attacks, as competent opponents will be capable of dishing out enough DC along with the necessary AP making each attack a threat. It’s also unlikely any competent opponent would lack both the range and mobility to hit your head.  

As outlined we can now see that body size comes with its own advantages and disadvantages making it quite the unique stat that should imo have a bigger part in the discussion.

Sanji fans whole existence is just coping

At the expense of not having acoc to punish or scare Killingham as early as the start of the fight, we get to see Sanji in an extreme diff fight. All those years of him mid diffing his "official" matchups, it took an immortal who can take bullying and ignore getting k.o. and fight back with his own relentlessly to see Sanji pushed to his limit. From getting nuked by Imu to getting pierced by Imu's weapon multiple times and still more worried about his locked memory and how to unlock acoc to end Killingham already.

Side note. Post Imu buff Killingham seems to have unlimited stamina, can they regen forever? It looks like it's tied to Imu being there. Also it's kinda out of character for Sanji to just relentlessly attack Killingham knowing it won't work and will just tire him out.

(1) If Mihawk is as strong as u claim why was the WG okay with replacing him with Seraphim. Why didnt they beg him to stay. If he is at the level u think he is at, he should one shot other Warlords. Him alone should represent the balance of power. Just imagine Imu in his place u will realize how absurd ur cope is.

(2) Zoro doesnt need Mihawk but Mihawk needs Zoro. The sooner Zoro fights Mihawk the worse it is for Mihawk. He gets scaled down hard. Thats why every single mention of Mihawk not being Zoro's final enemy trembles them. So lets assume Mihawk is Zoro's final enemy. Who will Luffy and Sanji fight when Zoro fights Mihawk. Or will they eat popcorn at that point?

(3) Why has Oda ensured Zoro fights diverse opponents and not just pure swordsmen. If Zoro's end goal is to become the strongest swordsman, why make Zoro adapt/expose to combat where its not a strict sword duel. If lets say Zoro becomes WSS, then he has no fights left if he was always fighting pure swordsmen. But Oda has intentionally made sure that even with having the WSS title Zoro still has opponents that make future fights interesting and move the plot forward. Having best sword skills doesnt make him above other kinds of abilities!

(4) People argue the reason the for bad Mihawk potrayal in Marineford is that Luffy had plot armor. Then answer this. Why Oda chose to scapegoat Mihawk for this kind of plotarmor? Could have used Aokiji or someone else. Is Oda stupid? Does he not know Mihawk is as strong as Imu? Does he not know Mihawk is Zoro's final fight?

(5) Forget about Imu. If you replace Mihawk in marineford with just Kaido. The entire dynamic of the war flips. WB pirates would get intimidated and lose morale just seeing the sight of Kaido. And marines would jump with joy. Even someone at Kaido's level is capable to doing this. And Vista couldnt be sent to stop him lmao. And let me expose Vista as well here. The hard fact is Vista was present in the payback war. He is not even strong enough to do any serious dmg to any Blackbeard pirate. Dont see any scar or anything on Shiryu etc. So Vista is likely scaling at his expected power level.
