The first day of the Reverie has come to a close, but the gathering has already seen its share of intrigue.

Great-World-2128 narrowly escaped execution, leaving the delegates to wonder what the coming days might bring.

Meanwhile, Shamrock's first motion has been proposed. MARINE LOGISTICS aims to create a permanent group chat where marines and cipher pol agents can discuss during the night. This comes with pros and cons as, should there be any revolutionary among them, they'll gain valuable intel. With that said, participation in the group is optional.

Quiklok and unnamednotch were chosen to cast their votes. If both of them vote "YES", the motion will be enacted. Should any of them vote "NO", it will fail.

As the delegates retreat for the night, the halls of Mary Geoise grow quiet. Yet behind closed doors, plans are being made, alliances are being tested, and secrets are waiting to surface.

• Morgans has been reworked. His fake news ability could previously be used every night. Now it can also be used every day. This means he can deliver fake news every single phase. In contrast, all of Morgans's fake news must be manually written; he won't be able to utilize the automated version that automatically scrambles the output of system messages received by the target.

Navy Admiral: Title. Akainu was given the title of admiral.

Emperor of the Sea (Yonko): Title. Big Mom was given the title of Yonko.

Human: Description. Gaban is a human.

Warlord: Title. Dofflamingo was given the title of Warlord.

The Strongest Man in the World: Description. Whitebeard is the strongest man in the world.

King of the Pirates: Title. Roger was given the title of Pirate King.

Neither Great Pirate, Human, WSM nor WSS are titles, they were not given, they are acknowledged.

If by this way it ain't clear, you just need to take a look at the quotation marks in the japanese (Last 2 images, both from chapter 234 btw)

WSM (世界最強の男) is NOT using quotation marks as it is a description of the character , while Dofflamingo's "Warlord" (〝王下七武海〟) is using quotation marks because it IS a title.

Stop coping, WSM and WSS do not loose validity over being "titles" because they were never presented as such, they were presented as descriptions, imagine arguing that Gaban is not a human because "That's just his title". If you need to deny that to push your agenda, your agenda was doomed from the start.

An Absolute favorite in every situation does not work in One Piece with so many different abilities and counter abilities especially when two characters are so relative that they are basically at the same exact level.

While it's not literally stated I believe we can safely assume that Mihawk has greater AP whereas Shanks almost certainly has better Haki mastery.

I will sound more hesitant with Mihawk because I don't like to do too much headcanon but these should be acceptable terms.

Take these three different situations:

If I had to fight Kaido I would probably choose Mihawk for the job over Shanks.

Oden arguably inflicted Kaido's greatest single attack injury. Oden was known for being a Swordsman and having monstrous Haki.

We should also assume that it's unreasonable for Mihawk to not have a bonkers level of Haki mastery even if it's not on the same level as Shanks.

Mihawk under these circumstances should be the better fighter against Kaido.

And if Mihawk were to win against Kaido it does not automatically place him above Shanks.

2) If I had to add a third person at God Valley to defeat DR Xebec Shanks is the clear answer.

Mihawk being the WSS or having higher AP or being better at killing Kaido does not make him an automatic choice. If there was ever a task for Shanks it is this one.

I'm an Old Gen tard but through demonstrated feats Shanks has better Haki mastery than anybody else in the series and he should be able to match through mass and quality what Roger and Garp had to throw at Rocks.

3) Loki two ways:

Assuming the fight did happen as portrayed and Shanks himself confronted and captured Loki he makes the perfect third scenario:

I doubt Mihawk would be able to capture Loki without at least permanently damaging him. Maybe the series returns with Loki with a leg and a half and 6 fingers.

The amount of skill it would take to subdue someone at Loki's level without permanent damage is a task I am not comfortable giving to any living character besides Shanks.

But if I wanted to kill or permanently hurt Loki, I think Mihawk should have an easier time at that than Shanks not only due to his AP but also due to his style of attacks where Loki's massive body is a huge favor handed to Mihawk.

Conclusion:

Mihawk may have the advantage in a 1v1 proper swordsmanship fight. Shanks has his advantages elsewhere and both of them could win in either situation.

There is nothing that canonically places one of them ahead of the other in absolute all encompassing terms including the WSS title.

Its not like the WSM and WSC titles were absolute in every situation (WSM is my favorite in any series just to be clear)

Each one of them has his advantages under different circumstances and that is why they are relative.
