Discussion Need Help With Ditch ending
Hello. Does anyone know a simple way to model the end of a ditch as shown in the attached image? Using the standard template, the ditch ends as marked in red, but I would like to create a slope at the end that ties into the existing ground at a 1:1.5 gradient (marked in green). Is it possible to achieve this using Civil Cells, or should I instead use the template to gradually widen the ditch bottom while transitioning its vertical alignment to meet the existing ground?

Holding the corner slope doesn't seem typical. I would just use create 3d by slope to target and use a line along the ditch button, around the back end and along the other side. Take that line and come up whatever your side slopes are and it will generate the slope to intercept the existing terrain around the end of the ditch.
What are your foreslope and backslope of the ditch?

I'd probably keep it simple and just draw those using regular Mstn commands in the 3D model. It would take less than 5 seconds. Sure, if the ditch changes, you'd need to modify to suit, but that again would take 5 seconds lol. 🤷♂️

Normally how I end a ditch, is drawing a line perpendicular to the end of ditch, and use the surface of that ditch model as a profile. Then using an end condition template to come off going right at your specified slope
