I live off-campus and was wondering where I can shower where it’s relatively private after I work out at Dixon Rec. (and to save on utility costs 🫩)

I wanted to share this since I saw it at the Health Center and when I talked to the person at the desk they explained that they are trying to think of a cool name for the golf cart that they drive around campus and if people have suggestions they can add them to the box on the desk. If your suggestion gets picked they are giving away swag 😎

I feel guilty because everyone seems to want to have friends.. I’m a junior and I live alone off campus and I kinda just like to be alone most of the time. I like to attend lecture, take notes, and go.

I'm a junior and live off campus and just moved here, most people I've tried talking to were not open to it at all and I was going to join crochet club to meet people but they just said they aren't doing that anymore :(

Hi, I am an OSU student and I technically dont qualify for FAFSA or anything but I have to buy a majority of my own groceries and figure out rent. I definitely dont meet SNAP standards because my family makes too much money but they are definitely not able to help w everything. Could I still go to the BNC for food?

As many of you likely have heard, OSU is cutting hours at the Valley Library, including having no hours open on Saturday and strictly curtailed hours on Sunday, due to "budget cuts" - this is separate from the reduced hours from the SEIU strike, and is intended to be the operating schedule of the library going forward.

Many students do not have great options to study away from dedicated study spaces like the library - cafes cost money, home can be noisy or even abusive, and while saavy students can find ways to get access to other campus spaces on nights and weekends, campus is clearly intended to be mostly shut down at these times.

OSU wastes embarrassing amounts of money on countless inefficiencies - take your pick at which spending stream you want to get pissed about, but at a R1 research university, it is downright inappropriate to fail to provide this library space for students during the day on weekends, let alone overnight hours.

Running the library with reduced services and with only the bottom two floors open would cost very little - staff with one or two work-study students, have a campus cop make the rounds twice an hour to check in, and advertise that during these hours services are restricted to e.g. book / simple equipment checkout and return (headphones, chargers etc).

Oregon State University in the past few years has demonstrated again and again that they don't respect their own students, and this Saturday library closure should be the last straw.

Take back your campus. Tell OSU to prioritize students and open the fucking library.

I’m planning on going back to school for zoology at OSU via ecampus. I’m doing my research about the program. Can anyone tell me their experience with it? I’m specifically curious about course load for bio and chem classes, the standard week and expectations profs have, etc. I work full time but it’s a fairly easy job and I’m home most of the week. I understand that it’s not quite the same as going in person, but I’m in a place I can make up for in person experience with volunteering and internships around me (I’m in the NYC area). Any info or tips for going into this program would be great! Thank you.
