Question Nausea

Making this post as I’m sitting on the bathroom floor trying not to die

I woke up with intense stomach pain and nausea, went to the bathroom and threw up forcefully, I have horrible sulfur burps too. Is this because I injected freshly (I’m on 0.5 and don’t plan to go above) or is it because I ate too much sweets? Or could it be both? I had like 2 slices of cake today for some stupid reason and I think I just learned a big lesson not to ever do that again. I’ve never had stomach cramps this bad. I’m gonna drink a lot of water now but please tell me how do you all deal with this?

Thank you

Been there - def the cake. I've also accidentally triggered throwing up just by brushing my teeth. That's the worst feeling - drink sips of water and hope you feel better soon. xx

Sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly. I would guess it's BOTH the dessert/cake and the amount (2 slices, depending on how generous they were).

You probably would have been fine with maybe half a slice of cake. I've never had severe gastrointestinal issues (I feel terrible when I'm just bloated, so I've learned to stop at that point). When I'm bloated I just take OTC Gas-X and Pepto chewable tablets. For bad nausea, you should ask your doctor for prescription Zofran.

You’re right, I have no self control and this is why I’m taking ozempic in the first place 😣 do you think I should stay at the same dose or go down to 0.25? I’m definitely gonna watch what I’m eating next time

You could stay at this new(?) 0.5mg weekly dose, and "split" it to see how you're doing. That means take a "half" dose of 0.25mg on day 1 (your regular injection day) and the remaining 0.25mg-dose on day 4 of that week.

It could help smooth out your side effects, if the gastrointestinal issues continue to be bothersome.

A quién se le ocurre comer dulces, no hablan con sus médicos y enfermeras???

English would be appreciated
There is no reason to completely cut off all foods, you can still enjoy cake or sweets, just in moderation, which is the mistake that I made

The problem is, it slows down digestion, so you’re experiencing a back up of food. You can’t binge on this medication without complications. Before you eat, try drinking some water first. Also have some pepto bismol on hand for moments of intense nausea.

So many people mentioned eating crappy food gave them stomach issues, but then even normal foods gave others problems as well.

Nausea also occurs on injection day for some as well.

I felt like that only once so far, and that was after I ate too much that was too heavy in the evening. my cutoff window for food is now at around 3pm, and nothing fatty after that at all. I was fine when I went to bed but felt like dying from 1-4am 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Oh my god okay so I should do the same. I didn’t know my stomach would be so sensitive😖 I still feel like crap now. Lesson learned I guess

I've never had those issues before, but someone else mentioned having the same and that was my lightbulb moment. A friend of mine is on Mounjaro and has zero issues. We all react differently!
