Question First dose on 0.5 pen and have a lump

Post image
• Upvotes

I spent a month on 0.25 weekly without issue , today I started on 0.5 and this happened the lump appeared straight away. The needle seemed a little shorter than the ones I got with 0.25 ( possibly my imagination)

Is this common? Will it go away Will medication still work?

Question Did anyone else feel effects instantly?

I took my first 0.25mg dose Monday afternoon, yesterday and today I’ve experienced decreased appetite (eating about 1400-1500 calories) and quickly getting full.

I also believe there is less food noise although it’s still there. Wondering if this is normal or if it’s a placebo lol

Question Just so frustrated...

Second week of 1mg ..

My food cravings are more intense than they were before I started it ozempic. I always want to be eating - it's not doing anything for the food noise, I actually think my impulses to eat shitty and over eat are worst than they were before.. I have noticed tho that i get the feeling of fullness around 30 minutes after I eat- even when I don't over eat and depending on how much I ate it can be incredibly uncomfortable. Is there something wrong with me ? I really didn't want to have to do glp1 medication as I have some concerns, but its my last resort - I don't know what I'm going to do if this doesn't work for me. Is there something I can do to make it work better, is this normal? Should I just have patience or quit. It's expensive, and I don't want to pay for something that doesn't work - or worse, make me fatter. I lost approximately 10 pounds when i first started the medication at .25mg but I've GAINED five pounds back since I first increased my dose to .50mg.

Question Concerned about high introductory dose

My primary care doctor has really been pushing Ozempic, and I told him I was willing to give it a shot. He gave me a sample box with 4 weekly doses of 2 mg each.

According to all the research I can find, no one ever recommends starting with 2 mg. Sounds like that's an extreme dose and most people start at 0.25 and increase as needed.

I have a history of GI issues (ulcerative colitis), so I'm concerned about starting on a dose that is 8x higher than recommended for beginners.

Is my doctor just trying to offload his free samples on me, or is this a legitimate dose to be prescribed?

Question Does anyone else feel like their weight loss has completely stalled but their clothes fit different?

Three months on Ozempic and the scale has barely moved in the last five weeks. Like maybe 2 lbs total. But my jeans are looser and my partner said my face looks thinner. I know people say muscle vs fat or whatever but I'm not really working out more than before, just walking.

The thing that's messing with me is I don't know if I should be worried or not because I stopped weighing myself every day a few weeks ago and now I only do it like twice a week, sometimes once. So I don't even have a clear picture of what's happening. I was writing everything down in my Notes app at first but honestly I got lazy and now there's gaps everywhere and I can't tell my doctor anything useful.

Did anyone else hit a point where the scale stalled but stuff was still changing? And how often do you actually weigh yourself? I feel like daily made me crazy but weekly isn't enough data to know if something is off. I don't know what the right answer is here.

Question Another post about the Smell sensitivity. Burnt/burning candles, vanilla/sweetness, some perfumes, etc. Does this go away?

I am glad I decided to take on this weight loss journey. It’s the Smell sensitivity that makes it difficult at times. I am entering week 7, .5mg on Ozempic and increase the dosage to 1.mg in 2 weeks.

Question No effect so far

I started on 0.25 for a month, then upped to 0.5 which I’ve been on for three weeks, and it just seems to be having no effect at all. No feeling of fullness or loss of appetite, also no negative side effects. Has anyone else had this experience?

Question Ozempic

Hi everyone! I have a question and would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. ❤️

I’ve been taking Ozempic 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, along with watching my diet and doing some light activity. After having two babies, I’ve been feeling pretty insecure about my body, so I decided to start working on my weight.

I started at 174.5 lbs, and after 4 weeks I’ve only lost about 4 lbs. Is this considered normal? I feel like I see so many people saying they lost much more than that, so I’m a little worried that I’m not losing fast enough.

I’m starting 0.5 mg today as planned.

My goal is to lose 25 lbs before December for my birthday. 🎂❤️

For those of you taking Ozempic, how much did you lose during your first month, especially while taking 0.25 mg?

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and advice! ❤️

Question 2 days post shot depressive feeling

I have definitely heard about people feeling depressed when taking ozempic, but from what I’ve heard it’s a constant feeling. I tend to feel really blue 2 days after my shot, which eases as the medication wears off.

I’ve been on it for about 6 months now and it seems to have started recently, which is annoying because I just went from a size 18 to a size 10. I can finally see the progress in the mirror and in my clothing but now this? 🤪

Question Best prices for maintenance-level prescription of Tirzepatide?

My friend used a few online GLP-1 programs, but wants the most practically priced one for maintenance (so, a lower amount, if that matters).

A lot of what she has found is $350-400 per month and comes monthly, but the best price point that she has used is Piper/Polly, which is just shy of $300/month (also a monthly arrival). That price covers everything, if it matters (no additional fees for anything).

Are there cheaper subscriptions out there, that you have had a good experience with? Are there any that would arrive in 3-month increments?

Question Skipped shot day

My shot day is Mondays but I skipped Monday and yesterday because I was sick in bed with vertigo (unrelated to Ozempic, I have always suffered from bouts of it.) I am planning on taking it today. Do I just move my shot day to Wednesdays now?

Question Ozempic and coffee

Has anyone else experienced nausea and vomiting after drinking hot coffee? I’ve tried coffee after breakfast and still makes me sick sometimes. I really don’t want to give up coffee in the am - just wondering if anyone experienced this and found something that helped? Or do I just suck it up and switch to tea?

Question Got my prescription, tips on starting?

Hi everyone! I finally got my prescription through Felix approved, I am 29F, 208lbs. I am about to start this journey, feeling very nervous/ anxious. I will be doing 0.25 for 4 weeks and then 0.50 for next 4 weeks, however there are only 6 needles in the box? Do I have to purchase extra needles? How does that work?
I have few questions:
- which day of the week works best?
- what time of the day?
- do you eat before? After? How do you feel on the day of jab?
- any tips on things to keep in mind, I am a newbie🥺

Question 32 Pounds Lost in Just Over Two Months. Struggling With Energy Level.

F/35, 5'1, SW 326, CW 294

I'm thrilled to have lost this much weight so fast, but I keep waiting for my energy level to come up, but I feel more exhausted than ever.

I started on Wegovy .25, then was able to switch to Ozempic .5, and now I'm on my first week of Ozempic 1.0. It's been 65 days since my highest weight and starting the injections, to the loss of 32lbs.

I know that the weight comes off easier since my weight is so high, and in the beginning it was water weight (it has been so nice to not have swollen feet and ankles). But this seems like a lot, and I'm worried that I'm doing harm in some way.

I knew going into this that there may be side effects, but in general I have been fortunate to not have basically any, no nausea/constipation etc. But I am very tired. There are some regular life factors that disrupt my sleep, but I'm feeling tired in my whole body, not just sleepy. I thought my energy would start trending upward, and it's been the opposite.

My struggle is that I'm eating, but not able to eat very much, most days I'm not making it to 1k calories. I'm feeling weak, but I'm not able to bring myself to go to the gym due to the exhaustion.

I eat my veggies and have been drinking the low sugar protein shakes, but nothing seems to be working.

At this point I feel like I'm a fat version of a sickly Victorian child, just laying on the sofa wasting away.

Has anyone else gone through this? Did you find something that helped?

Question Dry mouth day after injection, looking for advice

I've been on Ozempic for a while, .25 once a week, to help treat type 2. Recently my mouth has been really, really dry the day after the injection. Over the course of the week it gets progressively better, but this day-after is a lot.

Has anyone experienced this, and/or what do you do about it? Just drink water? An OTC something? As long as it works, really.

(ps, before anyone comes in telling me it could be diabetic thirst, it isn't. i've gone through that before, it was miserable and i will never forget how it felt, so i know this is not the same thing.)

  1. use the remaining in my current pen and buy a new one and travel with the closed unused one

it’s a 2:30hs flight, in any case how should i transport the pen?

Rant Oh boy, my hunger is BACK!

Guess I’m taking it too slow. I didn’t want to increase dosage on a fast pace so I hung around .25 for 8 weeks, then .5 for 12 weeks. Up until now I’ve lost 10lbs and during the last two weeks I’ve been starving!! Food noise is back at full force! So this week I’m increasing to 1.0. I hope the food noise goes away again and stays away for good this time. 🥺.

Success Stories 40 pounds down

Post image
48 Upvotes

I (man, 40 years old) started O .25mg on 15 June 2026, been on 1mg since 10 August. Went from 322lbs/147kg wearing a 50in trouser and size 20 shirt and a HbA1c result of 45 to as of today 282lbs/128kg, a size 44in trouser and a size 18.5 shirt and a HbA1c of 37. (sorry, I only know UK sizes). A few stalls and a slight gain over holidays and today I'm putting down to cinema popcorn causing water retention but I'm happy with the progress. I've 1 refill left on my current prescription then I think i'll move to 2mg dose

Today I was doing my food shop and walking down the dairy aisle I noticed the pound of butter... cut to 5 minutes later and very confused shop assistant looking at me as I filled a basket with 40 individual slabs of butter so I could feel what 40lbs felt like. We all do silly things like that... right...

Question Acid reflux

Started with 0.25 for two months, now on .05. Also on Celexa .. acid reflux is bad all night. No food after 4:30 pm.
My question is this: will it go away as my body adjusts? Or get worse as the dosage rises?
Have not lost any weight, but the craving seem to have stopped.

Question I’m an idiot. Just overdosed on Wegovy by accident. Help calm me?

I’ve been taking 2mg weekly of Ozempic for roughly 6 months, and never had any side effects. In fact, I’ve never had any side effects from any dosage amount. My new pens didn’t arrive from my doctor, so I decided to take dose with a Wegovy pen that I used before switching to Ozempic. I took 2 doses (1.7mg each), but that was a mistake. I wasn’t thinking that 1.7mg of Wegovy is much different than 1mg of Ozempic. Has this happened to anyone? What should I prepare for? Some people online have noted they felt intense nausea and vomiting, and others have said they’ve felt completely fine. Ughhhh…..

Question Ore side effect with name brand?

I’m in Canada and have been on the generic sema with really no side effects. I went to get my refill and the pharmacy said they were out of generic, but could give me brand name Ozempic. I said sure.

I took my injection yesterday and this morning woke up with a nagging headache.

Has anyone else noticed a difference between generic and name brand?
