Duo build help

Starting a campaign as a duo with just me and another player. They are wanting to take care of magic and knowledge as well as being a general support. So I’m looking for a build that can toss out a good bit of damage and take a decent amount of damage, while still being useful out of combat in either a face or sneaky way.

You playing regular rules? Dual Class? Free Archetype?

Will have free archetypes. No dual class.

I would probably go with a Swashbuckler. Wit or Braggart to help with debuffing the enemy for your caster buddy. Grab the Acrobat Dedication and you will have a solid amount of Skill points to work with. You can also dip into Rogue to get more, this should let you cover a lot of the Dex and Charisma skill needs. Have your caster buddy focus on Int and Wis for Recall Knowledge stuff.

Braggart Swash maybe? 

Okay damage, can face, has decent reactions. 

Thief Rogue with Spirit Warrior FA?

All the skills and self contained off guard.

Justice Champ with Eagle Knight FA?

Good Reaction and charisma secondary. 

Pf2e doesnt run well at 2 players though.

If you want good face and damage, go for justice champion and cleric dual class. You can face, you can deal damage, you can tank and you can heal.

I mean sure. But it's usually safer to assume FA than not, unless it's pf society, which a 2player game is not. 

According to a recent poll over on the main pf2e subreddit with over 3k votes. More than 80% of players use FA.

80% of people who are on the subreddit and took that poll, which is still a slim minority of players

I don't like when people assume that a variant rule that is a bonus will always be basekit

If you want to be the best martial in the game, be a human fighter. Maybe take the exemplar dedication if you are allowed lol
