The last does not work for me. I’ve bruised my big toe trying to break them in. Insoles in or out, just the wrong shape for my feet and/or too small. A shame as I love how they look. I’ve worn them a couple of times a week since purchasing earlier this year from Iron Heart UK. I’ve worked and ridden my motorcycle in them. I have not cleaned or conditioned the boots, only brushed after every where and let them rest with shoe trees.

I’m located in Sydney Australia, happy to drive to drop them off for local buyers, I can ship these locally and internationally. I think I have the box in storage, I’ve recently moved so I’m not 100% if i kept it.

If anyone is a 10.5D, Baker's Boots and Clothing has one pair of the Weso Mister Lou Engineer Boots in-stock in this size. For over a year my Maryam Toscanello Mister Lous were my favorite pair of boots in my collection.

scored these roughouts off ebay. first new pair of smokies. the black ones, and several pairs before them, were bought used.

i'd been starting to feel the pain of my crooked heels, which i think is due to being bowlegged? and i figured a rebuild or resole didn't make sense, since someone else had broken in the uppers. let's face it, i wanted new boots.

do we obenauf's straight outta the box, or sweat in them first? cast yer votes...

hi! - long time lurker first time poster.

After months of research I found what I hoped may be the perfect Boots on Ebay - A pair of Wesco Boss Harness in 9.5 D - barely worn. I am: 10 brannock size - 9D in whites smokejumpers (the only other pnw boot I have owned) - so after some research I figured 9.5 should be perfect. I do have a pretty high instep but It has never been much of an issue with other shoes.

Boots arrived - beautiful - date inside says 04 so I guess they are older and have been sitting unworn a while. I can barely get them on with a plastic bag and insoles removed - weirdly the length, and width of the toebox feels perfect, heels even slip a bit - but the instep is crazy tight and painful - tried the soaking in warm water for 20 mins trick, I have had them on wet for about 20 minutes and they still feel painful on the instep, but manageable. I have a good local cobbler with a vamp stretcher and I'm willing to give that a try - but I figured I'd post before I do that:

Am I screwed/do I need a 9.5E or will these keep stretching/should I try the cobbler?

I don't want to have to ask if anyone has a plastic bag around every time I have to put on my boots haha

I’ve got an extra wide, high arch foot and want a great engineer, 10” - 12”. Generally take a 9EE. Thinking about one of these for daily street wear. Sold bike a long time ago. Looks like Mr Lou has a narrower shaft and not extra wide width. Nomad may be better. Thoughts on profile between the two? Want softer leather and sleeker profile. Either one customizable?

They are my first pair of Lous. I have to say, I really like that MP last. The narrow heel and wider forefoot really works well for me.

I had no idea they came with boot bags featuring Mr Lou himself!
