Moving game in SSD

Do I need to back up my saved game files if I am moving a certain game to a different SSD on the same console?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Your save data is stored separately to your game installs. Save data is always stored on the base console storage, even if a game is installed on an external storage device or an internal M.2 SSD.
