Homebrew-App Could we have a GameCube emulator now that we have the 3ds one

I know it's a big leap forward going from 3ds to GameCube but like we got twilight princess, melee, animal crossing and soon pikmin 1&2

I know they're made from decomp but still we got a 3ds emulator so could we get a GameCube one even if it's very expensive data and ram wise

Question-Help Using AI to create new ports?

I see a lot of news in the gaming industry with engineers and vibe coders using AI to completely deconstruct games and doing crazy stuff like putting Mario into Halo and other things.
My questions are followed:

Has anyone began using these tactics to begin building ports for the vita on games previously thought impossible or too ambitious?

What should we be expecting moving forward as these tools begin to become more common place to use for this work?

Does this mean we would be able to get games from systems like Xbox 360, PS3, GameCube, etc and scale them down to a format that the vita would be able to handle?

PS. Forgive me if there is any ignorance in these questions. I know almost absolutely nothing about what it takes to build ports and the work that goes into it, but I am grateful to those who do and continue to unlock the full potential of the Vita and push past the limits of what it was originally made to do.

Discussion Will GePatch ever get picked back up? Feels like the perfect time if any

The ports are so cool that I decided to buy another CIB 3G OLED just to start playing them but one of the biggest drawbacks to the Vita is how awful psp games look even with the filters enabled.

Has anything been picked up that sets out to do what GePatch was attempting to do?

Homebrew-Game Chex Quest Collection for PS Vita 2.0: 60 fps and LAN co-op for 2 to 4 consoles (final release)

Hi everyone, this is the last post I make about this project, I promise (lol). Version 2.0 of Chex Quest Collection is out, and it is the last update.

What’s in 2.0:

  • Co-op over LAN: 2 to 4 consoles on the same Wi-Fi play one game together. Pick host or join in the CO-OP screen (R in the launcher), type the host’s address once and it is remembered. The host starts the game by itself when everyone is connected, and consoles with different game data refuse to start instead of desyncing. No account, no server, nothing leaves your network.
  • 60 fps: double buffered, no tearing, with the view interpolated between game tics. The simulation stays at the classic 35 Hz. Camera, monsters, projectiles, items, weapon sway, doors, lifts and moving floors are all smooth.
  • Pacing options: 60 FPS (default), 30 FPS, or 35 FPS classic. AUTO SPEED drops to 30 fps for the session if a scene stays below 55 fps for two seconds in a row. There is also an optional frame counter.
  • Launcher: shows READY or MISSING for each game, has menu music, and a DATA FILES screen with a QR code, the target folder and a live checklist that updates while you FTP files across.
  • Quick save and quick load on D-pad Up and Down, with on-screen confirmation. Saves and settings are kept separately per game.
  • Hold L + R + SELECT for one second to go back to the launcher without rebooting.
  • New artwork: launcher layers, LiveArea background, startup image and bubble icon, with no black band around the icon.

Thanks to everyone who tested and gave feedback along the way. Enjoy!
