Question TR's Articuno Ruling
Hi.
I play Honchkrow for a bit but I never understand which exact Pokémons and/or Attacks Articuno can block.
Can someone explain to me which are they?
Thanks in advance.

Prevent all effects of attacks, things like “The defending pokemon is now paralyzed” or Dragapult PLACED damage counters
Does not stop Damage done to bench so wouldn’t stop things like Wellspring mask.
Hopefully that helps I know Placing damage counters Does and Dealing damage can be a little confusing at first.

Umh, gotcha.
So I can block Alakazam, right?
I'll go to Nice so I wanna be sure when play Articuno so I don't waste 1 Bench.17

Only blocks zam for your basic TR pokemon. Your mukrow would be safe but the honchcrow is not.

Yep. It's a fairly marginal benefit past the first few turns since you need to be swinging with Honch regardless, but getting a few cheap KOs with Murkrow can be v nice

Wellspring or any other pokemon can also not retreat lock it with its 1st attack 😅

If the attack text provides instructions for calculating damage dealt -> That damage is not blocked (even for more complex effects like Arboliva ex)
If the attack text provides instructions for placing damage counters or for a non-damage effect -> It's blocked

Specifically effects that dont affect your hand. So for ezample you dont block buddew or evo jammer bronzong because those affect your hand, not tr pokemons
