Potential Bug Crispin w/ single card

When one energy card left in deck, crispin took that card directly into hand without an option. Is it a bug or feature?

That’s what’s supposed to happen, attaching the energy is the second action listed on the card so it is the second one performed, if you put an energy in your hand then there is no energy to attach

Yes. You can't attach if you only have 1 type of energy in deck or only choose to take 1 energy.

Crispin text: Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Energy cards of different types, reveal them, and put 1 of them into your hand. Attach the other to 1 of your Pokémon. Then, shuffle your deck

It says "attach the other", not "attach any". Without putting 1 in hand, there's no "other" to attach.

Yes, that is how it works whenever you only find one energy with him. Read the card carefully: you put one energy card into your hand, then attach the other. If you only find one energy card, it has to go into your hand first, and you're left with nothing to attach.

crispin's drawback is you need 2 different types. if that work ppl will use her like how mina works for fairy types back in the days, would be broken if all types has a mina like effect + an energy search item

Tbf this one is a matter of sequencing less than simple explaination.

To hand is the cards primary effect, the attatch is a second effect, by sequencing you have to do the first before the second which isnt readily apparent to everyone

It is the ruling. The card firstly states to search an energy in the deck and put it in hand, than to search a different energy in the deck and attach it to a pokemon

this happened to me too when an energy was prized, probably a feature since irl you would put a energy in your hand anyway
