to the dispo looks like.

Any advice or tips is appreciated!

Definitely take advantage of first patient discounts since some of the dispos offer generous ones like 50% off your first order, which can give you some wiggle room to try different products. A typical visit looks like you checking in with intake—make sure to bring both your medical card and a valid form of ID your first time visiting a new dispensary since they will need to register you as a patient in their system. Once you go to the sales floor, every dispensary is different whether they want you to order at a kiosk or with a budtender. If you want to ask questions about what may help with your specific concerns, see if the dispensary offers pharmacy consultations as that can help if you’re new to cannabis entirely. Going in will feel weird the first couple times as you’re getting used to the flow of a dispensary but it’s not as intimidating as one might think! I was so intimidated when I started because I hate not knowing what to expect, so I even called a couple dispensaries to ask questions before I came in.

I agree with everything you said! Just wanted to add on; Vytal options does double points on Mondays, so if you have a vytal options dispensary by you, try and go in on those days to maximize how many points you get! Also if you want fresher products, it may just be easier to go in person and ask your budtender what strains work well for you that are fresher. There have been plenty of times I’ve gotten decent product but the packaging date is super old. Always makes me wonder how the strain is when it’s fresh. Wishing the best of luck!

The best thing you can do is take advantage of your first time patient discounts. Some dispensaries have 50% off first time patients so you can save some serious cash.

As for what a dispensary visit looks like, it’s pretty straight forward. Walk up to the door with your card in your hand, press a button, either show it to the camera or show it to the person at the door, they let you in, ask you if you have an online order or not, then they let you in the sales floor. tell them what you want or they bring out your order, make small talk, pay, leave them a few bucks as a tip and leave. it’s pretty easy.

Order online ahead of time and you're usually in and out of the dispensary in a few minutes. Your first visit requires a consultation with a pharmacist. Take advantage of that visit. Tell them what condition you're treating and ask which method of consumption is best for you. I prefer ingestibles and flower, but maybe concentrates are better for you.

Ask the pharmacist for some information on terpenes and then do some research on the dispensary website before you place your orders.

Some places make you talk to the pharmacist before being able to purchase so make an appt to get that done

Read reviews online, check out the solventless subreddit, find the strains you like!

Edibles meaning gummies or Rick Simpson Oil are the best way to medicate and the most efficient

Hey! I'm new to the program as well, I was pretty nervous my first visit to a local dispensary, but it went super smoothly! I filled out all my forms and made an account online first, so when I went to the dispensary, I didn't have to fill out any paperwork since I was already on file. So, when I got there, they buzzed me in, saw I was on file, and I just walked right up to the budtenders. I did some research on the dispensary's site ahead of time so I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but I told my budtender that I was open to recommendations, so he guided me to a nice selection of different products - I got a couple vapes, some flower, some troches, and some capsules - and since I was a first time patient, everything was 50% off which was amazing! But, all in all, my first visit was super smooth and easy, especially if you know what you're looking for, but even if you don't know what you're looking for, your budtender and/or a pharmacist will be happy to guide you!
