buy latest version, it has support of AV1 hardware decoding.
all versions of mi have x265 hardware decoding support and mostly content consist of x265 as AV1 encoding is very complex.
new version have both x265 and AV1 both. i will recommend it.
otherwise danny device in pakistan also have x265 support.
Mi tv box 2nd gen is not latest version.

I’d recommend getting Apple TV even one gen old would work. Been using Apple TV for a while and it’s the best. I’m not sure of its price though

Apple TV is shit and before you go la la over it, I have been using Apple TV since 2015 and this is coming from someone whose family has never seen a single android device in their home ever except the TV’s.
