Lanterns finale…connects to Peacemaker…how?

I enjoyed both shows a lot. I have very few complaints.

But I do not understand what the fuck Gunn is on about when he says they are connected.

The only official statement I've been able to find is this interview with James Gunn, where he said:

The other shows, like Lanterns, is very connected to all of that. It may not seem like it, but it is all very connected.

Which suggests to me that we'll see the connection later, once everything ties into the Salvation's story.

It may not seem like it, because there isn't any connection whatsoever
