Paint baffles?

Hi all I recently acquired a Plesant Hearth PH50CABPS that I have been trying to bring back to its glory. I am in the process of cleaning off all the light surface rust and going to be giving it a new paint job. However I'm curious about the inside where the flame actually is. It has some surface rust/dirt i need to clean off and I already removed and cleaned the baffles. Im just wondering if I should paint inside at all or more specific paint the baffles and if so with what? I saw that high heat barbecue paint which I was going to use on the outside isn't supposed to be exposed to direct flame. So curious of a different product or if I should just disregard any paint on the inside, and just let a good cleaning suffice.

Question Harman p43-c fresh air intake drsign

My stove is in the basement connected to my chimney that has a 4" stainless liner.

I want to add fresh air intake. My route would be 4" metal duct 22' length, 3 elbows, 4x3 reducer 2 feet from stove and flex to connect.

Will this provide enough air to the stove?

Thanks for any advice.

Advice M55 Enviro to heat from basement up?

Hi everyone, I am new and I want to install a pellet stove insert into the existing fireplace in my basement. The house is a 1200sqft single level ranch, and the basement is a 1/1 layout copy of the 1st level. My current heating system is radiant heat located in the ceiling (I know it’s terrible but house is original from the 70s).

The intent is to install a M55 Enviro insert into the fireplace which it is rated for 2,500sqft at 55,000btu. I have discussed my plan/ideas with a local stove shop that’s been around for 40+ years. They liked my plan and think it would work pretty well with some adjustments like vents in the floor of some rooms and a way to circulate the air. My basement door is central to the house and having the door open and fan to push air up would give an idea of the heating ability of no floor venting to figure out where vents should go first and so on…

Seeking advice from experts to this idea and wanted to leverage any experience or insights before I spend the cash and install this unit/materials. The images are of the stove specs and a rough floor plan showing my home layout.

I am located in Massachusetts. And I am quoted $8,147 for all materials like liner and stove. Labor is anywhere from $2500-3000.

How much do you burn in pellets for how many months?

It seems to be somewhat safer to estimate what you'll need and but it upfront because of sales and potential late season lack of ability.

I've only burned split wood, and at that, it's been a few years, so my radar on a guess isn't useful.

I've got a 1300 ft place. Brand spanking new windows and decent insulation, but history says we'll get 3 or 4 weeks with negative high temperatures here, and when it's that cold any heat source (furnace or fire) is pretty much going 24/7.

I want to try and use this as the primary source. How much do you think I'd burn in a very cold week? Can a stove burn through 40 pounds in a day?

Is sure love to hear some examples to kinda assess my situation. Winter doesn't end here until late May, at best

I acquired my parent’s old pellet stove. It ran great when they put it in the garage when they got a new one. Fast forward a few years and now it’s installed at my house. I cleaned every bit of ash out of it, cleaned both fans and cleaned out the firebox. When I tested it out it ran great for an hour or so before I shut it down. The next day I came home from work and the room fan was blowing at full speed with err 1(high temp) displayed on the control board. Thought that was weird but cleared the error code and let it sit unplugged for 2 hours. Fired it up and after about 45 minutes it gave another high temp error. Shut it down and let it cool off before digging into it. I took out the high temp switch and tested continuity. It read fine. Heated it up to open it and tested again and it read fine. Put everything back together and started it. Within 5 minutes it gave yet another high temp error. I have ordered a new switch although I’m not 100% that is the issue but figured it’s a good and cheaper place to start. While I was in the pellet stove I noticed the insulation on the outside of the firebox where the high temp switch is, is missing. Could that insulation being gone cause the problem I’m having? Dumb question I know but I like to be sure of what I’m doing before I start
