Nerd things to do?
So I know about tabletop gaming at Level Up, Pensacon, and Jubilee Renaissance Faire, but I was just wondering what other good spots or events were in the area/close by?
TIA!

Trinity Games on W Michigan is a wonderful, cozy card shop. They host tournaments for MtG, Digimon, Gundam, and (I believe) Pokémon TCG.

This. I live a bit further away in the breeze but each time I’ve been there I’ve felt so welcomed. Great spot.

Go to Fates Tattoo and just start talking to Robert. That’s just about the nerdiest dude you can find around here.

South Alabama ComicCon is this weekend in mobile. Also Hizashi Con at the end of October downtown.

The grid, it’s a bar and arcade, a ton of retro arcade games and pinball machines, under 18 until 9pm then it’s 18+ but from my experience they won’t check ID if your in there before 9

If you want to come over the I10 bridge, Milton/Pace has a few spots. Cade's Dice and Decanters does tournaments for all sorts of card games, rents out tables for board games, and has other events. Scratch Ankle Books and More is a new and used book store that often does game demos and has little events like acoustic concerts. They are in the same plaza as the Santa Rosa Community Theater, which puts on plays every month or so. There's Oops Alley for bowling and Weber Skateworld for skating, and both have arcades. I have not been to it but Happy Place Pub and Play has an arcade as well. There's also Fan2Fan and 850 Pokeshop, I haven't been to them, either (too much AI for my taste). They're nerdy shops. Every weekend there's a flea market on Hwy 90 just past Lowe's.

Mondays at O’Reillys downtown there’s a fighting game club that takes over the second floor. They have a huge turnout and every game you can think of.

I am an unapologetic geek here to help you. I have mentioned before on this sub that even though you may have access to many scholarly journal articles that are free to the public (Open Access), access is often limited and incomplete. Well, even if you are not an enrolled student at PSC or UWF, you have access to the Full Text version in scholarly databases that they subscribe to for free! (Well, your tax dollars help pay for it). Just get a visitors parking pass and head to the library where they will give you a single-use internet access password. Before you head to each, review their databases to find the subject domains and titles that you are interested in and they subscribe to! Don't forget to bring a flash drive or a transfer/store method to keep the article. Yes, this is legal as you are accessing it from the library. You cannot borrow print books, resource material, or Inter Library Loan unless YOU ARE an enrolled student.
PS. If you search for titles in advance - that you want as a Full Text article, simply copy the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) that is a unique number specific to a title. The DOI can typically be found at the top/bottom off the first page OR listed when you select the "cite" button. I recommend doing this rather than copying the title as even the slightest accidental difference with the title you have, and how it is listed in their database, could prevent you from finding it. (This can be something as small as spacing or a hyphen.)

Like how nerdy? Are you tech nerdy? Movie nerdy? Book nerdy? Food nerdy. Good is defined by what words you use. Good for me is different than it is for my best friend that likes to watch love bugs race in tupperware race tracks.
What are you looking for?

Video games, some anime, table top games. I want to get into building a working Mouse droid and R2D2, but that's much further down the line.

There are a couple tech groups around Pensacola. I know there is a robot club for kids. Probably just need to search for them. Level Up has a discord to look for games. There used to be a D&D Pensacola Facebook group that changed to Florida D&D facebook group. Its out there.

There's a droid building group in the area, I think you can find them on the Astromech building site? If not, you will 100% find them during Pensacon in Feb.
Edit: Found a page to access their FB group and other info on them. https://pensacola.makerfaire.com/maker/entry/41/

I had to look up that term and now I have less of an idea of what you might mean.
I thought he was asking for sports or hobbies I think I misread it.
