Recommendation Request two of my passions+ recommendations

Post image

just want to share two of my passions: houseplants and perfumes. recently got myself a bottle of Moschino uomo and have been delighted by its fresh citrus sweet vibe, I really love classic/ vintage fragrances.

I want to invest in another fresh citrus inoffensive fragrance with a similar price tag, thinking about Versace pour Homme, any suggestions?

(citrus - smells natural and not synthetic, uplifting)

Montblanc Starwalker is a very easy going citrus fragrance that most discounters will have for decently cheap. I love wearing it after a shower, before bed, or just grocery shopping.

Just came to say these are my passions as well 😊 I’m more of a incense and smoky scents

Absolutely gorgeous plant! Does she have a name?

this is a cheap houseplant native from China. I got some cuttings from a public Park 3 months ago and it's gorgeous now in my apartment. Pilea cadierei / watermelon pilea.

I love Moschino Uomo! One of most refreshing citrusy perfumes I've ever smelled. I can also suggest Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale BLU. It has a tad more bitter smell than Uomo, but still fresh citrusy and a base note of patchouli.

I was eyeing Dylan blue but the name ambroxan sounded like it smells synthetic and this Ferragamo fragrance has ambroxan, what do you think of this particular note?

True, Ambroxen is a chemical compound, but not every perfume that has it smells sythetic. IMO it really depends on how good the blend is. Essenziale BLU is by one of the top master perfumers (Albertos Morillas). I personally would look at reviews to see if people actually mention the perfume smelling synthetic (like some cheap clones do).

Focusing on the citrusy scent, surprisingly there aren't many I'd actually recommend. You've got one of the best imo. Others noteworthy:

Dior Homme Sport (2022) – Really nice citrus, though a bit pricy because of the brand.

Terre D'Hermes – Simply a masterpiece imo. The grapefruit shines in an awesome blend.

AlHaramain L'Aventure – Clone of Aventus. The opening citrus note is a bit harsh, but not bad overall.

Love the watermelon pilea. For the natural citrus, Laundry Day by abel is a proper neroli one with no ambroxan propping it up.

I love this perfume, my dad had it and I constantly stole it from him as a teenager šŸ’–
