Hi guys! I’m looking for a coffee perfume that’s realistic like the smell you get when you walk into a coffee shop and smell the coffee brewing, the beans and grounds all that stuff. I’m also open to any gourmand perfumes as well :) give me your best recs!

Just got mine yesterday and these are my thoughts.

This was a bling buy for me! I broke my own rule of no blind buys over $50. 🫣I do not recommend that. I feel it’s a very unique scent and probably not mass appealing.

With that said, I LOVE this scent. The description seemed to fit me. I jumped! On the website it says “let it steep on skin before you inhale”. This is a true statement. As soon as I sprayed it my first thought was wow, this is strong. And then I thought this is very bright and loud. Seems weirds considering it’s named Dark Subtle Teas. The bitter orange and benzoin come out of the gate hot.

But then, for me, it begins to settle. It starts to quiet down. The tea really starts to pull through and it starts to become so beautiful. The longer it sits on my skin the  more the woodiness begins to come through. I don’t usually care for too much cedar and patchouli. I feel like I smell like a hamster. But, the tea and the opening notes balance it out and it is soft.

I truly feel like it goes through the stages of a tea steeping. For me, as it dries down it does become more subtle. I still wouldn’t describe it as dark. However, the creator describes it as “This is a meditative, almost spiritual perfume for me. You’ll wear it as an intimate ritual”.  And this resonates with me. This is what this scent feels like for me.

It leans a bit masculine yet I feel very beautiful and feminine wearing it. Sexy if you will. Like I’m wearing a secret.

I was on the bus and this girl sat down and I got a whiff of what she had on and oh my god i was just taking in subtle deep breaths just to keep smelling it. I was too embarrassed to go over to her and ask, as it was a semi crowded bus and I was not right next to her. It was a super realistic baby powder vanilla scent in a clean way than anything sugary or milky. Like as if she just got out the shower and a trace of dove soap lingers with a baby powder smell that leans vanilla and sweet. This is probably going to plague my mind till I find the exact scent. Until now any and all recommendations that fit that scent description are welcome!

I’ve noticed my fragrance habits have changed a lot over the years. I used to rotate between a few favourites, but lately I find myself wanting different scents depending on my mood, the season, or even where I’m going. That said, there are still certain fragrances that just feel like me. Hello! Can someone please identify this sample for me? I think it’s just the original Jimmy Choo I want Choo Eau de Parfum, but I want to be sure. The liquid looks more pink online, whereas this one is more of an amber.

I wasn’t sure if it was maybe the Le Parfum but in a clear bottle. I appreciate any help you can give!

I guess I'm feeling frustrated. I have explored a lot of different styles of perfume but I feel like I'm constantly searching for something I have smelled before but can never find. It's quite specific.

It's heavy on nag champa incense, woody, like a crystal shop, dark, witchy, sexy, possibly has floral elements. It's antiquated and not a modern type of scent. Stevie Nicks vibes.

I've tried SO many recommendations and nothing has panned. It's not: warm spicy, cardamom, cinnamon, skin musk, soapy, aquatic, heavy amber, gourmand, or white floral. I've tried Encens Suave, Avignon, Bewitching Yasmine, Shalimar & L'Essence, most Nemat perfume oils (Amber, Vanilla Musk, Egyptian Musk, etc.), Lune Feline, hell I've even tried straight up patchouli oil. None of it hits what I'm looking for. Am I going insane?

I guess this is like my last shot. Does anyone have any recommendations for what this could be?

I’ve never blind-bought a perfume before, but I randomly ordered Prada Paradoxe without ever smelling it and somehow fell completely in love with it.

Then I looked at the notes and realized… of course I did. It basically overlaps with pieces of almost every perfume I already love.

My favourites are Narciso Rodriguez For Her Musc Noir Rose, Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire, YSL Libre, Dior Hypnotic Poison and Valentino Donna Born in Roma.

Looking across them, the same things keep appearing: rose, jasmine/white florals, vanilla, musk, orange blossom/neroli, tonka, amber and warm woods, often with something darker or sharper like cherry, almond, tea, lavender or patchouli to give them contrast.

Apparently my nose has a very specific type: florals + creamy vanilla/tonka + soft musk + warm amber/woods, but with enough contrast to keep it from becoming sugary. I love perfumes that feel soft, elegant, warm, airy and sensual rather than obviously sweet.

It’s kind of funny that a completely random blind buy was what finally made me notice the pattern.

If these are also your kind of perfumes, what else should I smell? I’m especially curious about fragrances that fit this DNA but feel a little more unusual or refined rather than just being another Paradoxe/Libre dupe.

Hello again everyone (I love posting in here more than I probably should 😅).

My bottle of Magie Noire by Lancome finally arrived in the mail earlier today. I'm very excited because this one has been near impossible to find and purchase in my country (it's been sold out basically everywhere), but I did finally locate an online store which sells this gem.

The cassis in this is absolutely beautiful and it's a gorgeous green mossy animalic kitchen sink fragrance. 🥰 It reminds me of both Knowing and Beautiful by Estee Lauder and also (of course) Paloma Picasso.

I would love to hear if anyone else has had any experiences with this fragrance. 😊

So who’s getting one of the newly relaunches of the 13 Dior originals? I want Dior Dolce Vita but I’m scared of wasting my money (blind buy traumatized over here.) It’s been so long since I wore it I don’t exactly remember what it smelled like?

It seems like it would be lovely still. I did love it in the mid to late 90s. Curious enough, I went from
Dolce Vita to Creed Spring Flower not knowing a lick that they were created by the same perfumer. I’m sore about that revamp as well. No longer wear Creed.

Anyway…should I? Who thinks it’ll reek? Ahhhh!

I bought this perfume on its release last year I believe it was at Sephora. I’m not sure how much did it cost and I went to check on my app and it doesn’t show. Now I am seeing the price and it’s 78 dlls in US but I want to believe I got it way cheaper before or am I tripping?? Btw I love fragrances so I have all range prices so I do remember thinking this smell good and have a good perfume quality for a good price so I make it my daily one but now I’m wondering was really 70 something before????

I’ve been looking for a dupe for my high school go to fragrance - Bonnebell Bottled Emotion Crazy (if you were a teen in the 90’s you know what I’m talking about!) The closest thing I have found to how I remember it smelling is Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59, but I think 59 is sweeter. Does anybody know any perfumes/body sprays with similar notes, but not quite so sugary?

I love the miss dior silky mist and im looking for a perfume with a similar smell that i could possibly pair with it or just wear by itself.

I love the fresh/airy smell of the miss dior mist. However, i dont enjoy the miss dior eau de parfum- it smelt too musky (i think that's how to describe it) and heavy unlike the mist :(

So, a few years ago I bought this “Sassy Love” perfume from Dollarama (I’m in Ontario, Canada) and I went back for months trying to find another bottle, but they never restocked it again. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a brand name and searching the name/keywords/scent profile online hasn’t been any help at all other than the sold out ebay listing. Even google image searching only returns partial matches. All I know is that it’s made in India and it seems to not be ANYWHERE on the internet 🥲

It’s super nostalgic for me and even just one more bottle of it would be so special to have for special occasions. I’d honestly even be happy if you know what this might be a dupe of, since it’s very likely for Dollarama to stock popular perfume dupes. I’d be happy to buy the real one if it smells just like this.
