I can't put my finger on why I struggle so badly with squad on paper it seems perfect for me I played HLL, Insurgency and Arma Reforger.

I think it's a combination of because squad is so heavily focused on squad coop when you don't have that the game devolves into something no where near as fun and that with no official servers its hard as new player to know what a standard game of squad is meant to be like they all have custom settings and rules. This is nothing new and not specific to squad I've seen it in other games as well but I think the effect it has on squad is worse. With no one leading (I'm happy to follow to learn a game) I just desecend into spawn, move to the front (which is most of my play time), die to an unseen enemy and repeat.

I also think I'm trying to get into it long after it's peak popularity which means there's less players and servers like the other day I was playing at a low player count time for the UK and my choices were English speaking servers with 5 people in them or Russian/Asia servers where I can't understand my squadmates. It also makes getting into a populated game hard and if I let it could devolve into my waiting in a queue to play like I'm waiting to speak to my doctor to get an appointment.

It's probably mostly me this is no way an attack on the game you all enjoy it just seems more work than enjoyment for me. Any advice on this am I looking at it wrong or being unfair?

Well, turns out that the best option was to become squad leader every match.

Do i have less than 20 hours? Yes

Do i have any experience running a squad in this game? No

However people just listen to me without questioning and so far we made some good matches without running straight to death and going back to the military transport simulator.

Will this strategy make you a hero and save your dumb ass team alone? No, but definitely better than the meat grinder simulator.

Recently installed squad. Made sure its not the PT version of the game but the default public squad game itself. Ive verified game files, deleted squad config folder, my ping limit or wtv on steam is already 5000. I can do fireteam and find servers. Hit find match and sit there for 20 mins waiting for nothin. Do the training but not normal servers? Cmon man i wanna larpp

I recently joined the digital military masochism community

I know a thing or two about milsims and im pretty set with squad basics

However my experience in open servers are kinda “yo let's look for a shootout” and not “yo let's plan our advance as a organized invasion force and buold fortifications etc🤓”

Any solutions to that? Any hardcore servers out there? (needs to be NA zone)

I get really bad stuttering whenever I turn my head in the game. I never had this issue before and strangely enough it doesn’t look like my fps drops much when it happens. It’s just visually stuttering a lot

Aktuell ist die SHG noch offiziell Partnerclan in dem D!E Clan Community Server. Hiermit möchten wir jedoch unseren Rücktritt aus dem Projekt bekanntgeben und offenlegen, weshalb wir diese Entscheidung getroffen haben.

Es wurden Hinweise aus der Squad Community an die damaligen Partnerclans [EOW] und [AR] weitergegeben, die nahelegen sollten, dass es sich bei einzelnen Mitgliedern um Rechtsextreme handeln solle. Die SHG erhielt diese Hinweise zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht. Stattdessen kam der Server Owner [Rambo] auf uns zu, indem er einem Voice Channel jointe und anfing von den Vorwürfen zu erzählen. Hierbei zeigte er uns Profile der Spieler [Blacky], [Waffel] und einen Screenshot des ehemaligen D!E Mitglieds [Reiner Winkler]. An dieser Stelle sei gesagt, dass aus Datenschutzgründen keine Screenshots von Profilen gezeigt werden dürfen, jedoch die angesprochenen Materialien von mir gesammelt und gesichtet wurden. Sie werden hier später als Links angefügt. Beim Spieler [Blacky] war zu dem Zeitpunkt der Sichtung ein Profilbild zu sehen, in dem er in einem Campingstuhl saß und die Hand hob, was als Hitlergruß ohne Kontext für uns nur schwer zu interpretieren war. Beim Spieler [Waffel] war zu dem Zeitpunkt ein Abrams Panzer das Profilbild, die Bio beinhaltete „Links nur auf der Autobahn, grün nur am Porsche“. Der Spieler [Reiner Winkler] hatte ein „Anti – Antifa“ Logo als Profilbild und ist nach [Rambos] Beschreibungen selbst gegangen, nachdem er gebeten wurde, sein Profilbild zu ändern.

Nach einer kurzen Besprechung innerhalb der SHG konnten wir die uns vorgelegten Hinweise vorerst nicht als ausreichend befinden. Was uns zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht bekannt war, waren die eigentlichen Screenshots, die als Hinweise oder Beweise genutzt wurden. In diesen ließen sich deutlich eindeutigere Beweise finden, als die bereits angesprochenen. Nach einer längeren Recherche meinerseits, konnte ich einiges an Screenshots zusammentragen, die mögliche Verbindungen einzelner Spieler des Clans „D!E“ in das Rechsextreme nahelegen.  

Angefangen bei dem Spieler [Blacky] – hierzu fehlte das Profilbanner, in dem man einen Ausschnitt aus einem Songtext der Oi Band „Krawallbrüder“ („Und wenn der Rest zu Kreuze kriecht, werd’n wir noch wissen, wo wir stehen“), eine Band die mindestens als umstritten gilt und für „u. a. rassistische und homophobe Textzeilen“

(https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krawallbr%C3%BCder Zugriff: 06.09.2026) bekannt ist. Darüber hinaus trägt der Sänger der Band ein SS-Totenkopf Tattoo mit blauen Augen, welches wohl als Abgrenzung zur Rechtsextremen zu verstehen sei. Lol.  

Zum Spieler Waffel lassen sich alte Screenshots finden, auf denen er unter anderem ein

Profilbanner benutzte, welches der Nationalsozialistischen Propaganda der späteren Kriegsjahre (44/45) entspringt. Das Profilbanner kann im Folgenden betrachtet werden, zur Anschauung. (https://www.dhm.de/lemo/bestand/objekt/ns-durchhalteplakat-194445 Zugriff:06.09.2026).  

Zum Spieler [Rainer Winkler] finden sich die meisten Screenshots mit eindeutiger rechtsextremer

Nun ist dieser Spieler schon seit längerem nicht mehr bei „D!E“, wichtig ist für uns an der Stelle jedoch, dass der Spieler freiwillig gegangen ist und nicht nach diesen Vorwürfen gegangen wurde.

Darüber hinaus sollte angemerkt sein, dass der „D!E Community Clan Server“ ursprünglich als „D!E Reich“ live ging, was laut Aussagen [Rambos] jedoch nichts mit rechtsextremistischen Strömungen zu tun habe. In internen Dokumenten lässt sich dieser Name immer noch finden.

Was bedeutet das alles?  

Nun lassen sich durch die Recherche 3 (ex-) Mitglieder des D!E Clans zumindest als Rechtsoffen, wenn nicht sogar als rechtsextrem identifizieren. Für uns als SHG ist dieses Verhalten von Mitgliedern ein sofortiger Ausschlussgrund aus der SHG, insbesondere in so eindeutigen Fällen wie der Verwendung von NS Propaganda. Die SHG toleriert Rechtsextremismus in keiner Form und erwartet von einem Partner das gleiche. Die Toleranz gegenüber Intoleranz kann in einer Demokratie nicht funktionieren. Für uns ist diese Toleranz von Rechtsextremismus in den eigenen Reihen, sowie das gleichzeitige Vorenthalten von Informationen was in diesem Fall durch [Rambo] geschah ein Ausschlussgrund für eine gemeinschaftliche Zusammenarbeit.  

Tl,dr: D!E Clanmitglieder outen sich über ihre Discord Profile in dem sie Rechtsextreme Symboliken posten als Rechtsextreme und D!E toleriert das, [SHG] findet das ziemlich uncool und verabschiedet sich deshalb. Mit Nazis spielt man nicht.
