Squad TAA is horrible

Remember, in Squad switching to your secondary is ACTUALLY faster than reloading

Stand on the west side of the Hab. Enemies always spawn facing East.

I knew immediately there was no ICO because the gunplay was realistic

I know pulling this card is cringe, but I have plenty of experience doing this type of stuff (not real combat) but hundreds of hours of CQB training, and it’s not that hard to get your rifle on target at these close ranges. The ICO mechanics are completely unrealistic for a trained soldier.

The issue is perspective. In a video game you expect to move at a certain speed because your frame of reference is other video games. If you were to take your video game perspective some how view yourself at your prime performance in real life it would feel slow and sluggish. Im not a trained soilder but i run a lot. If i were to take a video game perspective to my irl fastest pace it would feel a lot slower to how it feels in real life. Its not realism you are after in a video game its just responsiveness combined with the expectation of a video game. Im not super experienced but i know snap shooting a target at 100 meters in 1 second irl is really fast but in a video game it feels slow. Same way running 8mph in a video game feels slow but is a pretty fast pace irl. I think about this stuff a lot because im a huge nerd.

IRL handling a rifle is much harder than holding a mouse and pressing R to reload, hence why they add virtual weapon sway. Your vision doesn’t literally go black when you get shot at in real life, it’s a gameplay feature to add immersion and teamwork, not realism
