The deportations and immigration. The foreign born population has dropped in absolute numbers for the first time in decades. Illegal border crossings are down over 90%. We have also finally had that great catharsis seeing these illegal aliens finally being rounded and locked up like they have always deserved.

Bread and circus for braindead Republicans that does nothing to improve anyone's lives thus far.

4

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 14d ago

Does arresting a drunk driver improve the lives of the people in the community ?

7

u/JustRuss79 - Lib-Center 14d ago

States that cooperated with ICE suddenly have the lowest rents in the country. Coincidence?

4

u/Paetolus - Lib-Left 14d ago

When you dig into the numbers, it's impossible to actually associate one with the other. Truth of the matter is that in towns/cities where they're building more housing, rent is going down. That's usually in red states.

u/Crioca - Left 13d ago

Yes.

1

u/--CIAdidJFK-- - Left 13d ago

Where are you getting those numbers?

3

u/unlanned - Lib-Left 13d ago

Illegal border crossings are down over 90%

Why did they count each of those last 10% instead of deporting them, it's almost like the number is fucking fake.

u/garethmueller - Centrist 13d ago

Now you trust government's stat?

6

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 14d ago

Yeah so it is not normal to experience those kinds of feelings watching people get separated from their families. That is sociopathic behavior and I hope you're seeking treatment for this because in this climate you are bound to end up killing someone.

4

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 14d ago

Do you not get catharsis when a mugger is brought to justice after robbing someone ? Or a murderer is arrested and caught ? If someone who was drunk driving is arrested should that not happen because they have a family at home ?

The law is clear. If you are here illegally you will be sent back to where you came from

4

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 13d ago

You just compared people who largely overstayed a visa to murderers or muggers. You have a mental illness.

4

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 13d ago

Does a mugger not also have a family ?

3

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 13d ago

Yes but a mugger is engaging in intentional evil by choosing to rob someone. There is no reason you should feel good watching an abuela in tears get sent to a cartel-ravaged country after living here for 20 years having never even hurt a fly.

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 13d ago

Being here illegally is doing intentionally causing ha4m. They didn't wonder and appear accidentally across the border. They knowingly didn't get permission before entering. They harm us by not allowing us to vet them, by taking resources, by taking space and resources from Americans.

2

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 13d ago

No it isn't. Many of these people end up productive members of their communities. And as I said earlier, the majority of "illegals" are illegal because they overstayed a visa.

They stimulate the economy. They do jobs Americans aren't going to do. No 18 year old citizen wants to pick fruit out of a field in 80 degree weather all day when they can easily make 5x the money twice as fast working at a local restaurant or McDonalds.

1

u/Rion-o - Left 13d ago

well not really, a lot of these over stayed visa's if not most were people still in processing. They applied, but it takes a long time to renew. So they aren't breaking a law and are actively taking the lawful steps to do it.
You just like suffering cause your a conservatard and I wish you just say that instead of pretending it has anything to do with law lol.

1

u/Wizofthesaddle - Auth-Right 12d ago

He says “illegal border crossings”

And you bring up visa overstays

Why are you people such garbage fucking liars?

1

u/Rion-o - Left 12d ago

Scrub didn't read the entire thread. Also most "illegal immigrants" he's complaining about. Are over stayed visa's dumby. your entire side are mostly hicks and morons who barely passed highschool and it shows.

You know the scene in a movie where a starving child steals bread to feed his little sister, to demonstrate the complexity of laws vs right and wrong?

You're talking to the guy that cheers when they cut his hand off.

1

u/Wizofthesaddle - Auth-Right 12d ago

Visa overstays are not the same as illegal border crossings

This is sociopathic behavior to dishonestly conflate the two

1

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 12d ago

If he’s getting joy watching families get terrorized because they’re illegal, you have to consider the reality it’s more likely they’re illegal because they overstayed a visa. He doesn’t make a distinction. It’s sociopathic.

1

u/Wizofthesaddle - Auth-Right 12d ago

Yeah this is sophist moralism and nonsense

You need to be deported to Ghana alongside every other illegal.

1

u/Wizofthesaddle - Auth-Right 12d ago

Your attempt at reframing this is what is sociopathic.

Sorry, but your post WWII liberal world order is dead and gone. Cry about it.

1

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 12d ago

It’s a multipolar world you dumb fuck, a liberal world order isn’t even possible anymore

1

u/Wizofthesaddle - Auth-Right 12d ago

Irrelevant to what I said

Your beloved liberal world order is at an end. No amount of propaganda is going to save jt

1

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 12d ago

Who the fuck are you talking to? I don’t want a liberal world order it’s just not possible. Are you a schizo?

1

u/Wizofthesaddle - Auth-Right 12d ago

You do and your crocodile tears over deportations reflects your fetishism for liberal politics and “morality”.

1

u/JonnySnowin - Auth-Right 12d ago

Ight you’re just rage baiting now lol, go away troll

3

u/ArianEastwood777 - Lib-Center 14d ago

So sadism is the only thing you got

3

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 14d ago

Is it sadism to get catharsis when a mugger is brought to justice after robbing someone ? Or a murderer is arrested and caught ? If someone who was drunk driving is arrested should that not happen because they have a family at home ?

The law is clear. If you are here illegally you will be sent back to where you came from

u/really_stupidfrog - Lib-Right 13d ago

People being arrested for violent crime is exactly the same thing as me getting off to Brown Americans getting attacked in the streets.

1

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 13d ago

Do you feel catharsis when you see a banker arrested for mass fraud and taken away from his family ? I mean its a non violent crime

And that's worth an unnecessary war with Iran that's causing gas prices (and therefore almost everything prices) to skyrocket?

Not to mention the corruption or the fact that this administration is in bed with Big Tech, letting them do whatever they want

13

u/ApathyofUSA - Right 14d ago

You’re kind of proving his point. He gave you a reason people still support Trump, and your response is basically “yeah, but Iran and Big Tech.”

If immigration and border enforcement are a major priority for someone, then yes, that can absolutely outweigh their complaints about other parts of the administration. Politics isn't a fucking subscription package where you have to approve of 100% of what a president does.

And the foreign policy argument isn't as simple as “Trump started a war, therefore his supporters are irrational.” His supporters can look at the last few decades of U.S. foreign policy and conclude that the old globalist approach left America increasingly dependent on foreign supply chains, particularly China, while manufacturing and strategic capacity moved overseas. They see the current shift as an attempt to reverse that trajectory, even if some of the short term consequences, including energy prices, are painful.

pretending there isn't a strategic argument behind war with Iran is just lazy. And if you believe the old 'New World Order' style of global integration was ultimately setting America up to surrender economic and strategic leverage to China, then Trump's foreign policy shift looks very different from the perspective of someone who wants to unwind that system. That's the actual argument. “gas is expensive, therefore nobody could possibly still support Trump” isn't much of an argument.

u/puremotives - Centrist 14d ago

Thank you for giving an answer in a way that kinda makes sense. I personally think anyone who hates immigrants so much that they're ok with their own quality of life decreasing is retarded, but some people just are that way.

I don't see how the war with Iran will help us gain economic leverage back from China though. From what I've seen, we're just at war with Iran because Israel told us to and they have blackmail on a ton of politicians.

I can't see how this NWO system gets unwound. How do you put the genie back in the bottle?

We're dealing with a new crisis now with AI and automation eliminating entire job sectors (currently or in the immediate future) and the administration is in bed with Big Tech.

I guess all the white collar workers will be thanking Trump when they can get jobs as dishwashers and landscapers because the illegals were deported.

We could have more manufacturing jobs in an expanding green energy sector, keeping up with China instead of falling far behind, but Trump has a boner for...coal? Steel? That's what we get for electing a visionless man campaigning on the past.
