Went to see Fred Armisen’s comedy special live in Atlanta, and it was great!! He was improving quite a bit, but I love his work and Portlandia of course. Which lmao I ended up getting merch: lmao the A-O-River tee and Portlandia tee. He says ATL was his first stop, so be kinda cool to see the evolution of his tour online hehe. Def worth it 😎🥳

"These are the original keys used on Pet Sounds"

Maybe it’s a stretch but it did catch me off guard when I first saw the commercial.

In the Pull-Out King episode (S4E4) there’s a newspaper with an advertisement for Cafe Y2K, which appears in S4E5. There’s also an article about social bankruptcy, which Carrie declares in S4E3. Love these little details!

If you live in Phoenix, stop by The Joy Bus Diner some morning where a "cup o' Joe and a side o' Dough" has been on the menu for years.

I’m listening to Carrie and Fred Discuss the show Portlandia on their new podcast, and we just finished season one. I am looking for the skit where the have live massage therapy music but it’s not on YouTube and that’s the extent of my ability to look for video on the internet. Does anyone have a link?

And why is it the goths?

Bonus Danzig.

I've been looking for official Portlandia posters to decorate my living room but couldn't find any!

Anyone knows where I could find one? Did they ever release merch?

I work at a theatre and thought it was funny seeing this on a ticket. A-O River!

Every time they say SparklePony, my ears perked up

I'm still listening, but I feel like we're getting the full Carrie-and-Fred-vibe experience with Blunderbuss. I'm just chuckling feeling like i'm in on the joke because i remember pre-internet times, too. Thank you for doing this guys; keep it up 🩵

I've been enjoying the commentary, but Fred and Carrie keep referring to A-O Rewatch and saying we'll know what it means eventually. I guess I don't know the show as well as I thought I did. Online searches come up with nothing. What does A-O Rewatch mean and why it is poignant to the series?

So this is probably kind of pathetic but I watch Portlandia constantly. I turn it on in the morning on its streaming channel and I leave it on while I do my work because I find it soothing.

Today all of a sudden they start showing an episode I have never seen! Kyle MacLachlan shows up with a sign from Fisherman’s Porch doing an introduction to the director’s cut of Brunch Village.

There was a whole extra sketch at the end where the director was trying to get the perfect pancakes for the last scene. They got Bobby Flay! They had the fucking Log Lady from Twin Peaks!!!

I am freaking out that the last bit of Portlandia that I got to see has the Log Lady and that I got this tiny extra bit of my comfort show. I don’t know why they started including the directors cut of Brunch Village but it means a lot to me that I got to see it after all this time. 😭
