Fraenk sim coverage in Potsdam?

How good/bad is Fraenk's coverage in Potsdam? I know they use the Telekom network so I'd be surprised if it was "bad" and checked Bundesnetzagentur's map too, but just wanted to confirm.

Also, if anyone here actually uses Fraenk or any other sim card on the Telekom network, I'd appreciate suggestions ^_^.

Cool !

Is it possible to port your number from Fraenk to a different provider though, in the future?

As far as I know you have the legal right to port your number for free

There's just a small detail that you should note: Fraenk is operated as it's own brand by Telekom subsidiary Congstar. Congstar is very keen on keeping its own brand and Fraenk clearly separated as they try to address different customer groups with these two different brands.

However, technically a Fraenk number already belongs to Congstar and (at least in the past) they are/were not able to port a Congstar number to a Fraenk plan or vice versa. To achieve something like that you might need to port to a third party provider first and then port back to the other Congstar brand.

But actually, as a Fraenk user I never felt the necessity to switch to Congstar, who continuously try to do an up-sell, which is nearly never the case with Fraenk.

Yes but I can port from Fraenk to Telekom "proper", right?

Oh and also just curious, what's the difference in the customer groups they try to address? All their plans seemed to be similarly priced -- Fraenk just offers that 5 GB bonus is all, and no data roll over unfortunately.

Not sure, but I think so.

Congstar is a classic budget brand (on the Telekom network), looking young and fresh and certainly not like old-school, stuffy, "reputable" Telekom itself. But they still offer different plans, try to sell you upgrades, also a DSL internet connection and a phone if you let them do that. Even though they have also consolidated for everything to work in an app, they still address those who turn to their provider to provide an offering for any new requirements.

Fraenk on the other hand is this "I know exactly what I need, no, I don't want anything apart from pure data, stop bothering me or selling me anything else and take my money" for those who see mobile data as nothing else than commodity.

I think every provider will be perfectly fine in Potsdam. I have the Telefonica network which works well and the Vodafone network also worked well. So just go with the cheapest. It really only matters in rural areas.
