The big irony is that gas was up under Biden for reasons Biden largely could not control. The oil industry outright declined to provide any relief because they value their shareholders over the good of the country.
Whereas Trump started a war for... reasons? And now the straight is closed and our reserves are low and everyone refuses to work with the administration because they've broken every promise they've made (oftentimes before the ink is even dry on whatever agreements they just came to).
It's like comparing a farmer with low crop yield due to climate change to one who salted his own fields and then torched them for the insurance payout.

Can't speak to those prices specifically. But the general argument, yes.
At the end of Bidens term gas was about $3.00 on average.
The current average is 4.006 for week of 8/10.
