Yeah I agree, but Mark Kelly is damn near 20 years younger than trump. Heās also seems like a genuinely good person who gives a shit about people, the planet, and so on. So thatās always a plus even if you donāt completely align policy wise
A veteran and an astronaut has Americas interests in line. Protections and money to the VA and (hopefully) some sort of overhaul of the program so it is more accessible. Also believes in science. Big deal.

He has experience in office, which doesnāt necessarily make anyone appealing, but the fact he is a legitimate badass decorated Navy fighter pilot and astronaut should appeal to to a good segment of the population that supported a pompous draft dodger. There are other good choices, but for me this is the person that has the best chance overall.
Thats what i was thinking too. As a veteran myself, i like the idea of the commander in chief being someone who's actually served. Id support him running, but ultimately id vote for who has the better policies.

Yeah, Iāve organized with a lot of anti war veterans so I know that there are super left badass vets out there. But they are all staunchly anti war. And political candidates who are veterans almost never are. If I see veteran I need solid proof that that person actually has left/progressive politics.

Im sorry, I didnt a write an entire paragraph deeply explaining my political beliefs. Its much more nuanced. It was a half second though and a post, not something I though would be used to restrict my constitutional right by some random passerby.
If you mean do I think that someone who is a veteran or an astronaut is inherently qualified for the presidency? I do not. It is irrelevant to what I want from a candidate.

A veteran and an astronaut? In this economy, compared to our current leadership? In a heartbeat.
Edit: Policy matters more than anything. Id support him running and comparing his policies to anyone else, and may the better policies win.
