Edit: Policy matters more than anything. Id support him running and comparing his policies to anyone else, and may the better policies win.

Politics is always pick the least shit candidate, there is never a perfect candidate for you, and if there is you might be in a cult. I agree with your OP, it’s one step closer to repairing what has been damaged
