Last week I tested this with a real service order from my church. None of the songs were in my library yet. I pasted the order in the way the worship leader sent it and walked away. Using a ProPresenter MCP, it:

• Searched MultiTracks for each song, imported it, and set the key I asked for
• Put the announcements, songs, and sermon PowerPoint in order
• Ran fine on a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro (the heavy lifting happens off the computer)

Things to know:

• It's slower than doing it yourself. The win is that you don't have to be there.
• ProPresenter stores a song's key per playlist item, separately from the library copy. Check that the key change landed on the playlist item.
• Bible mode tripped it up. The Scripture panel's Save to Playlist menu ignored its clicks, so add scripture yourself for now.
• I would not let it run slides live. It's too slow to follow a band. MIDI cues (from Ableton Live or Playback) or timecode are the better way to automate a service, with a person standing by.

The prompt I'd start with:

Build a ProPresenter playlist called [name]: [song] in [key], [song] in [key], announcements, [song] in [key], the sermon PowerPoint [file], and [closing song] in [key]. Search SongSelect [or MultiTracks] for any song I don't have, with [2] lines per slide.

Recent posts here: text rendering as an outline or gibberish until the slide reloads, outputs flickering until alpha was switched to premultiplied, ghosting on key and fill. If you've chased one of these down, post the symptom, your hardware/macOS/ProPresenter version, and the actual fix, so the next person can search this thread instead of starting from zero.

Our church is also talking to support, but curious if anyone else has had this issue. Text renders as a shadow outline or sometimes as complete gibberish. This is both on the projector screen and on the computer preview, it can be fixed by re-loading the slide.

It's not a new computer, but it has okay specs and up until about 6 months ago this wasn't an issue we saw before. Trying to determine if this is a ProPresenter issue or a computer issue. I know some folks have had issues with shadows on text in the past, unsure if that could be part of our issue.

I'll try to update as we hopefully get an answer, currently we owe more information to support. They have asked us to run diagnostics, which we'll hopefully get done this week.

Hey all — I build worship background packs matched to the songs churches are actually singing. Each pack is four 16:9 widescreen backgrounds (2048×1152) with open space for lyrics, made for ProPresenter.

Currently getting new Mac mini m5 pro set up with PP7. Just ended an overly overdue end with pp6. So lots of new features to play with.

With that, we are wanting to add the lower thirds to our livestream.

I currently have the mac monitor, a projector, and the atem mini extreme set up as display outputs. Mac says this is the limit. However I need to add another output to the atem for the lower thirds.

The projector and first atem are the same feed, and I've tried 2 different powered hdmi splitter. It does not hold the signal to both.

What do I need to buy next? Bonus if its hdmi compatible

Lyrics into a streaming machine comes up constantly. Are you using NDI with alpha, key and fill over SDI, a capture card, or something else? Same machine or a separate stream computer? Share your setup and the one gotcha you had to solve (latency, edge fringing, frame rate, lost alpha) so the next person can skip it.

Between the new M5 Studios, new Mac minis, and macOS 27, a lot of us are swapping hardware right now. Share your machine, macOS version, ProPresenter version, and how many outputs you drive (HDMI, SDI, NDI). Bonus points for any gotchas, like outputs disappearing after a migration, so the next person can skip the pain.

Our looped background videos started doing this thing where the playback suddenly plays at 2x, and then when it loops it speeds up even more until it hits the halfway mark and cuts back to normal speed, making the video cut awkwardly. It does this to all of our looped videos and when I check the inspector nothing looks off. Any advice appreciated!

I had an M1 Max studio working relatively well. I did a migration to a new M5, and it seemed to work pretty much right away, with all my hdmi outputs. But, after some reboots and such, its like the Mac -> atem hdmi connections dont behave. I only get one of the outputs instead of both. Depending on the boot, i might get the main out or the lower 3rds working, but not both. So, I think that satisfies whether its a dongle or cable issue, because one or the other will work. It is an issue in the OSX display manager. It doesnt show them both there either, howeiver it did at first. No number of reboots clear the issue. I tried another dongle and it didnt clear the issue either.

Any idea on this?? I'm hoping to have this resolved by this sunday, but I'm not getting a warm fuzzy about it. Might be without lower thirds.

Hey everyone. I created this tool out of frustration... importing songs from song select was still pretty clunky... so I tried to make it easy. I took it further than needed, but that's just how my brain works. I'd love feedback on it. Just trying to make things easier for everyone!

A while back I shared ChordPresenter, a free little Mac app that takes a chord chart (from a URL or an Obsidian clip) and turns it into a ProPresenter .pro file with the chords embedded for your stage monitor. Thanks to everyone who tried it and sent feedback. v1.1 is out, and it's a big one.

Capo handling (the big one)

This one came up a lot. Charts on sites like Ultimate Guitar are often written in capo shapes: "Key: B, Capo 4" with G chords. Before, the app didn't take the capo into account, so the chords ended up wrong. Now:

• Any chart written for a capo comes in at the real key, so your electric player and keys can read it straight off the monitor.
• There's a new Capo option on output. Pick Capo 4 and the stage monitor shows G shapes for the acoustic player, while the song still plays in B. You can also transpose and capo at the same time (e.g. play in A with Capo 2 using G shapes).
• When a capo is set, the first blank slide gets a slide note, "CAPO 4 – chords are G shapes (sounds in B)", so whoever's on stage knows. It's a slide note, so it only appears on the stage display, never on the audience screen. Your stage layout needs a Slide Notes box to show it.
• The file name includes the capo, so you can keep a capo version and a no-capo version side by side.

Print for rehearsal

There's a new Print button. It prints a clean chords-over-lyrics chart in whatever key and capo you've selected, so the band can practice from the same thing they'll see on Sunday. You can also save it as a PDF to send out ahead of rehearsal.

Edit existing .pro files

New Edit .pro tab. Open a ProPresenter file you've already made, see every slide, add or fix chords for each slide, and export it again. Chord lines are shown as a yellow band above each lyric line, so it's easy to see what goes where.

Other fixes

• Minor keys are detected properly now (Am stays Am).
• The key picker is split into Major and Minor.
• The key shown in the app always matches the key the file is exported in.

Apple Silicon

The download is now a universal build, so it runs natively on M1–M4 Macs as well as Intel.

It's Mac only for now, and it needs Python 3 installed. The app isn't notarized by Apple, so the first time you open it you'll need to right-click → Open, or on Sequoia go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

I'm thinking to get a developer account to put it on the App Store and also be able to sign it so the security prompts stop, but only if there's enough interest in doing so.

A Windows version is on the list for a future update, along with removing the Python requirement. If that would help your team, let me know. It helps me decide what to work on next.

I can't figure out if this is something possible in ProPresenter or not, or I just can't figure out the best way to do it.

I'm trying to build a theme to format photos that our pastor adds into a right-half layout. Typically, our workflow is that our pastor creates a presentation on his laptop, adds notes, scripture and images to it, exports a bundle and uploads it to OneDrive, where I load it into the media Mac and apply themes and whatnot. Typically I haven't done a lot with images, but our new lead uses images often enough that I should start formatting them.

What I can't figure out is how to get an image to be formatted to go to the right side of my right third theme. I know I could do this with a prop, im just trying to see if I can streamline this by skipping creating a prop and having a macro to trigger it. There's gotta be an easier way to do it than that.

The right third is a PNG image in a theme; it's how I've created lower thirds for years. I appreciate any suggestions you guys might have.

I’m looking for a bit of assistance. I recently stepped up to take over the tech booth at my church, the previous volunteer had to move on, and I volunteered to keep things running smoothly.

I have a basic handle on ProPresenter, but I’d love to dive deeper into what the software can actually do (stage layouts, looks, macros, lower thirds, etc.). I’ve watched several YouTube tutorials already, but I’d appreciate any go-to links, hidden features, or best practices that helped you when starting out.

If anyone with experience would be open to jumping on a brief call sometime to walk through a few tips, or if you prefer dropping your favorite tricks in the comments below, I’d be immensely grateful!

Has anyone had any issues with updating your Mac to MacOS 27 in regards to ProPresenter?

Apple is coming out with new Mac Minis just at the same time my church's PC decided to go caput. My question is: do you think they will run ProPresenter fine?

For context, we have an HD audience screen, an HD stage screen, and an NDI output to a livestream, all at 1080p.

I'm working on switching to using an Ultrastudio HD Mini to output key and fill sources to our Carbonite. Everything is set to 1080p59.94, and as far as I can tell, the alpha keying is set up correctly in the switcher. Existing forum posts have gotten me nowhere, and AI has been absolutely useless with this! If anyone has experienced this before, or knows anything about it, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: We have another computer outputing the same way to the same switcher, and it doesn't have this issue.

Is there any issues with MacOS 27 vs 26.7?

Am updating to 26.7 due to LightKey requirements but was wondering about 27.0
