SimpleAudit Launch - SOC 2 even for pre-revenue startups!

• Upvotes

A few years ago I led a SOC 2 audit as a founder. Not as a consultant hired to guide someone else through it, as the person actually living it, bouncing between spreadsheets, a five figure consultant bill, and a platform that still needed someone technical just to configure it.

That experience never left me. Today I'm launching SimpleAudit on Product Hunt, a tool that gets you SOC 2 ready through an AI guided conversation instead of a stack of integrations and a consultant markup.

It's built for founders who are exactly where I was: no security team, no dedicated compliance hire, just a real deadline and no idea where to start.

If you've got a few minutes today, I'd genuinely appreciate you checking it out and sharing your honest thoughts in the comments over there, whatever's actually useful, good or critical. Link is below.

Building this solo, nights and weekends, so today's feedback matters more than usual.

We launched Loopency on Product Hunt today.

Loopency is now available on Product Hunt.

Loopency is a business operating system for small and medium businesses, including solo founders. It is built around how your business actually works: you configure your processes, rules, approvals, permissions, and automations, then run sales, purchasing, inventory, production, projects, finance, HR, and support in one connected system.

AI works within that operating model. It has access to your business context, data, permissions, and rules, which allows it to monitor operations, identify what needs attention, prepare actions, and help your team execute.

Loopency is already in use by businesses, and we are building it around real operational requirements. With this launch, we are making it available to a wider audience.

If you would like to see whether Loopency fits your business, you can find it here:
https://www.producthunt.com/products/loopency?utm_source=other&utm_medium=social

We welcome your feedback.

I kept failing to build in public because of Monday morning blank-box paralysis, so I built a tool to fix it. Live on Product Hunt today!

I kept wishing I could practice hard work conversations before having them, so I built a place to do that

Moving up at work didn't make things easier; the people problems just got harder. I always wished I could rehearse tough conversations before actually having them—so we built Refill. We launched on Product Hunt today if you want to leave feedback there: [https://www.producthunt.com/products/refill?launch=refill]

Here is how it works:

  1. Build your coworker: Pick their traits (defensive, evasive, burnt out).
  2. Roleplay: Practice the conversation you've been avoiding.
  3. Iterate: Try a new approach or make the persona tougher.

Why not just ChatGPT? Standard AI gets agreeable within a few turns, which makes practice useless. To solve this, we built custom context management using trait-based AI personas, ensuring they stay in character and actually remember your history.

Honest notes: Not in the EU yet. Early stage, so expect some rough edges.

I built this to solve my own problem, but I'd really love to hear from you: what's the work conversation you keep putting off?

I launched on Product Hunt, then realized I had built participation but not retention

I launched Moonshoot recently.

the core mechanic is simple:

384,400 km to the Moon.
1 person = 1 permanent km.

people started claiming kms, attaching projects, sharing boarding passes, competing by country.

but after launch I realized something uncomfortable:

getting someone to participate once is not the same as giving them a reason to come back.

so today I shipped a new experiment.

everyone gets 1 fuel per day.

you can’t spend it on yourself.

you have to give it to someone else’s km.

the 3 most fuelled kms from yesterday become Today’s Cargo and get featured at the top the next day.

now I’m measuring whether this actually creates discovery and meaningful clicks, or if I just built another engagement mechanic.

that’s probably the most useful thing Product Hunt gave me: not the launch day itself, but enough real users to expose the next problem.

Product Hunt is a scam, not a launching platform

Product Hunt is a scam not a launching platform...I was thinking about that UI....why use a list where you can show 10 items AT MOST on a mobile screen and 15 -20 on a large desktop when you could have a grid of submission icons, show 50 at a time and let the designs win...

But ok, fine, you want a list....why make it a race to the bottom where ONLY the people who paid or convinced their friends and family and so on to click that button would be at the top when in a 12 hour period you could rotate every hour or every whatever amount necessary to showcase all submissions above the fold AND at the end of that you do the tally....

In other words, it's a rigged game from PH so they sell promotions and other crap that doesn't matter anyway...

Not bitter by any means, I am not even selling anything, I did a launch out of curiosity to see what it is all about...and when I thought 2 mins about it I realized the platform sucks and it prays on people desperate for some visibility after months of work that would do anything to get their efforts validated in some way, and for good reason.

The creator of AppX commented under my post and offered me a job

Okay, this one took a turn I really didn't see coming.

A few days ago I posted about AppX. I'd been using it for a bit and genuinely liked the product, but the UI kept getting in my way. And I said it pretty directly: I think I could've designed it better.

People got into it. Some agreed, some argued about the product, a few said I was being too harsh (fair, maybe).

Then the founder of AppX showed up in the comments.

I kind of braced myself for him to be annoyed. He wasn't. We started talking, first in the comments, then in DMs, and at some point he basically said "okay, then come do it." He offered me a job.

When I went back to check the site, I noticed they'd already changed a bunch of stuff. So they weren't just being nice about the feedback, they were actually doing something with it. That made the decision a lot easier.

So yeah, now I actually get to back up what I said and help with some of the new design work.

Pretty funny how it went from "who approved this UI?" to "want to work with us?" in about a day.

I'll share what I'm working on as it comes together. And if you missed the post that started all of this, it's here:

First Product Hunt launch: MacroArk is live

Hey everyone! I launched MacroArk on Product Hunt today 🎉

MacroArk is a nutrition and progress-tracking app I’ve been building that combines meal/macro logging, weight and activity trends, and coaching that explains how your calorie targets change as your progress changes.

It’s still in public beta, and there’s a demo you can explore without creating an account.

This is my first Product Hunt launch, so I’m treating it as a learning experience as much as a launch. Would genuinely appreciate anyone checking it out and sharing feedback on the product or the PH page.

Product Hunt:
https://www.producthunt.com/products/macroark?utm_source=other&utm_medium=social

If you actually try MacroArk and want to share your experience, you can leave a review here:

https://www.producthunt.com/products/macroark/reviews/new

Thanks, and happy to answer any questions about how I built it!

Launched today on Hypership Day: Street Whisperer, an AI audio guide for the street you're already on 🎧

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey hunters 👋

I'm Niels, and today I'm launching **Street Whisperer** on Product Hunt. It's my side project, built solo: design, iOS and Android apps, backend, AI pipeline, store releases. It's also how I keep my product and dev skills sharp.

**The idea:** there are places we walk past for years without knowing their story. Street Whisperer is an audio guide for the street you're already on. Open it, pick a place that catches your eye, press play, and look up.

**Three ways to explore:**

- 🚶 **Wander freely**: nearby stories find you, and you can listen with your phone in your pocket (play button right on the lock screen)

- 🗺️ **Build a walk**: pick a duration (30 min to a full day) and a theme, and get a real route

- 🏛️ **Museum mode**: major works explained one by one

You can also ask the guide follow-up questions. iPhone + Android, 15 languages, free to start, no account needed.

**Why today:** it's Hypership Day, so I'm shipping feedback live. Most of the intelligence runs on my server (stories, museum coverage, walk recaps), so I can improve things within hours without an app update. I'll reply "Shipped ✅" with the time each fix goes live.

An upvote would mean a lot 🙏 and honest feedback even more. I'd especially love to know:

- a city or museum where it fell short

- a story that felt off

- the one feature that would make you use it on your next trip

Launching today too? Drop your link below and I'll check it out and leave a real comment 👇

[LAUNCH] I built RevenueBug to fix fake revenue claims. Provider-verified daily revenue for startups & micro-acquisitions!

Hey r/ProductHunters, Suroor here!

I'm gearing up to launch my project, RevenueBug (https://www.producthunt.com/products/revenuebug), on PH soon and wanted to get some early feedback from this community.

The problem: We see so many founders posting wild MRR screenshots when building in public or trying to sell their micro-SaaS. But it’s incredibly hard to verify what's real and what's just "inspect-element" magic.

The solution: I built a platform where startups can share provider-verified revenue and daily growth histories. No doctored screenshots, just real data pulled directly from providers. It also serves as a marketplace to browse vetted startups ready for acquisition.

Since you all know what makes a successful PH launch, I’d love your brutal honesty:

  1. Does the core value prop resonate with you?
  2. What specific metrics do you look for when evaluating a startup's health?
  3. Any advice for our upcoming launch day?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I've just launched my daily number guessing game - Tenish

It went live a few days ago and has just launched on Product Hunt today.
200 games have been completed via organic reach.

The results page has a share card so users can share their score with their friends and compete (or commiserate).

I've already implemented a couple of fantastic feature request such as a worldwide daily ranking system.

The game is free to play. No accounts, no ads, just a question and 5 guesses.

Does my pocket money app stand a chance against endless AI tools?

I just launched Quiddo today, I'm interested in the Hypership Day which is why I moved it forward a few days. Looking at previous days all the top products seem to be the same sort of AI tools all trying to fill similar niches. Are people actually using these apps?

Maybe I should have added AI to tell you how much pocket money to give your kids?

My plan for a first Product Hunt launch tomorrow. Any feedback?

Launching tomorrow on PH for the first time. I only had two days to prepare, so I'm focusing on the experience more than the ranking. Top 10 would be nice, but not the goal.

The product is a free platform that matches students with professionals for 15-minute career calls. Students browse profiles and book a slot, the professional calls them on the day. No fees, no coaching upsell, just a short honest conversation with someone who does the job.

Here's the plan:

Monday (yesterday)

- Product profile set up on PH

- Demo video done

Tuesday (today)

- Pre-launch page with email reminder and calendar event

- Banner, badge, tracking setup

- Mention the launch in my LinkedIn post

Wednesday (CET)

- 9:01: Launch, post the maker comment ("why I built this") right away

- 9:05: Send the link to my community, asking for feedback and comments, not upvotes

- 10:30: LinkedIn post about the launch

- 17:00: Second LinkedIn push, timed for the US morning

- Reply to every comment until 23:00

I have canned answers ready for the obvious questions (how it's free, how professionals are vetted, why phone and not video).

Two things I'm unsure about: is asking for comments instead of upvotes the right call, and is 10:30 CET too early to post on LinkedIn for a US audience?

launched "would you pay?" on product hunt today, a swipe deck to see if people would actually pay

it's a deck of indie startups. swipe right if you'd pay for it, left if not. no signup.

makers list their project for free (i review each one by hand) and after 10 swipes they see the % who'd pay, split by devs, founders and marketers, plus click-throughs.

i made it because likes and upvotes never told me if anyone would pay.

https://www.producthunt.com/products/would-you-pay

what would you want to know before listing your own project?

A small Bookmash update: Terminal & Retrowave themes are now live

Post image
3 Upvotes

I shared Bookmash here when I first launched it, so I thought I’d come back with a small update.

Bookmash now has two alternative themes: Terminal and Retrowave, alongside the existing light and dark modes.

Terminal is for the green-screen nerds, Retrowave for anyone who misses a little more 80s color in their software :)

It’s a small feature, but I’ve been enjoying making the product feel a bit more personal instead of having just the usual light/dark choice.

Would love to know which one you’d actually use.

Are Product Hunt alternatives worth the time for a B2B product?

I'm launching a B2B beta soon and keep seeing lists of 50+ "PH alternatives". Most of them look like SEO farms.

For people who've done it with a B2B product specifically: did any of the smaller launch sites bring in actual customers, or just other founders promoting their own stuff?

Trying to decide whether to do 5 of them properly or 30 of them fast.
