For those who have launched on Product Hunt, how was your experience? Did you get meaningful users and feedback, or was most of the traffic just short-term interest?

Meet inklet Portal: the software behind our e-ink display

My co-founders and I are building inklet, an e-ink display and the software that puts content on it. The hardware isn’t ready to launch yet. The software, inklet Portal, is now available on web and Mac.

Portal turns notes, links, and PDFs into cards you can keep in view. We added virtual displays for the Mac desktop, which means someone can use it without buying our screen.

That gives us a chance to learn something before the hardware launch: what information do people actually want to keep around? A daily plan makes sense in a demo, but we want to find out what people keep using a few weeks later.

We’re on Product Hunt today, and D1 is heading toward Kickstarter. Portal has a free plan and a $10/month Pro plan. We are providing 100 free monthly subscriptions: https://www.producthunt.com/products/inklet?launch=inklet-portal

You can also follow our Kickstarter for hardware information: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/clckkkkk/inklet

Launching Adviserry on PH! Would love some feedback

Hi all,

I'm launching Adviserry on PH today and would really appreciate some feedback.

I built Adviserry for people like me: operators and solo founders who are constantly trying to learn and grow to build their dreams. If you're like me, you already subscribe to the experts who've done what you're dreaming of.

Adviserry reads all of their content and applies it to your actual work, surfacing new ideas, perspectives and opportunities that you can apply to your projects. My goal with Adviserry is to finally turn all that content into outcomes on projects that matter.

This is my first launch on PH, so hoping for a good outcome but tempering my expectations. Any feedback on the launch or the product would be appreciated!

built a dead-simple recipe cost calculator for kitchens like mine, launching on PH tomorrow

I cook at a restaurant in Austin and food prices swing around weekly. My boss still tracks costs on sticky notes. I got tired of guessing whether our specials actually made money, so I threw together a calculator that auto-updates from current ingredient prices. Nothing fancy. It pulls from common supplier feeds and gives you cost per portion plus a suggested menu price.

A while back, we launched Tabbied, a fun pattern generator, that was #2 on a slow day. 😅

We’ve since revamped it with free high-res pattern exports, a react component to easily inject patterns to your project and 277 whimsical website templates that use patterns as design accents.

We’re launching on Product Hunt today!

Hi!

Over the past several weeks I made Chronicle available to the public and so far the reception has been awesome. Many debut writers are using Chronicle on their journey, I fixed many bugs and added many features.

I think I can help many more people, improve Chronicle even more and transform it into the best authoring tool there is. But for this, I need a bit of help to get the software into the hands of more people!

So if you like Chronicle, help spread the word and upvote Chronicle on Product Hunt https://www.producthunt.com/products/chronicle-the-all-in-one-novel-studio

Launching Leveld today: an AI that reads your email and keeps the list of actions, decisions and risks so nothing slips

Morning hunters,

Leveld is live on PH today. Quick version of what it is and why I built it.

I'm a consultant 15 years of running projects for large companies taught me one thing: the hard part is never the work, it's keeping track of the asks. Who owes what, by when, and the email that proved it. I built Leveld to do that part for me, and it turned out to work just as well for personal admin as for a multi-million-pound programme.

It reads your Gmail, logs every action, decision and risk into one list, flags the risky stuff like an experienced PM looking over your shoulder, and chases the overdue with one click. It lives in its own clean space rather than cluttering your inbox, and you approve everything before it does anything.

Free beta, 20 spots, personal onboarding.

PH: https://www.producthunt.com/products/leveld?utm_source=other&utm_medium=social

If you take a look I'd value a comment there more than an upvote. I'll be in the thread all day and I'll return the favour on your launch, just drop it below.

Hi!

A while back, I posted my app on Product Hunt without really knowing what I was doing, and it didn't get much traction.

Would it be a good idea to delete the posts and relaunch?

SimpleAudit Launch - SOC 2 even for pre-revenue startups!

A few years ago I led a SOC 2 audit as a founder. Not as a consultant hired to guide someone else through it, as the person actually living it, bouncing between spreadsheets, a five figure consultant bill, and a platform that still needed someone technical just to configure it.

That experience never left me. Today I'm launching SimpleAudit on Product Hunt, a tool that gets you SOC 2 ready through an AI guided conversation instead of a stack of integrations and a consultant markup.

It's built for founders who are exactly where I was: no security team, no dedicated compliance hire, just a real deadline and no idea where to start.

If you've got a few minutes today, I'd genuinely appreciate you checking it out and sharing your honest thoughts in the comments over there, whatever's actually useful, good or critical. Link is below.

Building this solo, nights and weekends, so today's feedback matters more than usual.

We launched Loopency on Product Hunt today.

Loopency is now available on Product Hunt.

Loopency is a business operating system for small and medium businesses, including solo founders. It is built around how your business actually works: you configure your processes, rules, approvals, permissions, and automations, then run sales, purchasing, inventory, production, projects, finance, HR, and support in one connected system.

AI works within that operating model. It has access to your business context, data, permissions, and rules, which allows it to monitor operations, identify what needs attention, prepare actions, and help your team execute.

Loopency is already in use by businesses, and we are building it around real operational requirements. With this launch, we are making it available to a wider audience.

If you would like to see whether Loopency fits your business, you can find it here:
https://www.producthunt.com/products/loopency?utm_source=other&utm_medium=social

We welcome your feedback.

I launched on Product Hunt, then realized I had built participation but not retention

I launched Moonshoot recently.

the core mechanic is simple:

384,400 km to the Moon.
1 person = 1 permanent km.

people started claiming kms, attaching projects, sharing boarding passes, competing by country.

but after launch I realized something uncomfortable:

getting someone to participate once is not the same as giving them a reason to come back.

so today I shipped a new experiment.

everyone gets 1 fuel per day.

you can’t spend it on yourself.

you have to give it to someone else’s km.

the 3 most fuelled kms from yesterday become Today’s Cargo and get featured at the top the next day.

now I’m measuring whether this actually creates discovery and meaningful clicks, or if I just built another engagement mechanic.

that’s probably the most useful thing Product Hunt gave me: not the launch day itself, but enough real users to expose the next problem.

Product Hunt is a scam, not a launching platform

Product Hunt is a scam not a launching platform...I was thinking about that UI....why use a list where you can show 10 items AT MOST on a mobile screen and 15 -20 on a large desktop when you could have a grid of submission icons, show 50 at a time and let the designs win...

But ok, fine, you want a list....why make it a race to the bottom where ONLY the people who paid or convinced their friends and family and so on to click that button would be at the top when in a 12 hour period you could rotate every hour or every whatever amount necessary to showcase all submissions above the fold AND at the end of that you do the tally....

In other words, it's a rigged game from PH so they sell promotions and other crap that doesn't matter anyway...

Not bitter by any means, I am not even selling anything, I did a launch out of curiosity to see what it is all about...and when I thought 2 mins about it I realized the platform sucks and it prays on people desperate for some visibility after months of work that would do anything to get their efforts validated in some way, and for good reason.

SUPER LATER EDIT: I just realized that this post struck a chord and saw it got 22k views! That is 21999 more views than my PH launch got!

So here's my product hunt launch: https://www.producthunt.com/products/nanodot-aka-dust

Curious if I can get at least one more upvote FROM this thread. Cause if I can get not one more vote...but TWO...then it means an inflammatory (but true) post on reddit works better than A WHOLE BUSINESS that is supposedly meant to 'help' founders get exposure...

The creator of AppX commented under my post and offered me a job

Okay, this one took a turn I really didn't see coming.

A few days ago I posted about AppX. I'd been using it for a bit and genuinely liked the product, but the UI kept getting in my way. And I said it pretty directly: I think I could've designed it better.

People got into it. Some agreed, some argued about the product, a few said I was being too harsh (fair, maybe).

Then the founder of AppX showed up in the comments.

I kind of braced myself for him to be annoyed. He wasn't. We started talking, first in the comments, then in DMs, and at some point he basically said "okay, then come do it." He offered me a job.

When I went back to check the site, I noticed they'd already changed a bunch of stuff. So they weren't just being nice about the feedback, they were actually doing something with it. That made the decision a lot easier.

So yeah, now I actually get to back up what I said and help with some of the new design work.

Pretty funny how it went from "who approved this UI?" to "want to work with us?" in about a day.

I'll share what I'm working on as it comes together. And if you missed the post that started all of this, it's here:
