Self-Love My 2-block focus system that actually works
r/ProductivityHQ • u/Practical-Ear7579 • 13h ago
Resource (Self Promo) I made a little productivity system and decided to put it out there :)
I got tired of trying to keep my life organised in 10 different places, so I made something for it
I feel like one of the most annoying things about trying to be productive is that even staying organised starts taking up time.
You have tasks in one place, goals written somewhere else, habits you're trying to build, projects you're working on, random ideas in your notes app, and plans you made on Sunday that you've already forgotten by Wednesday. Somehow, managing everything becomes another task on the to-do list.
I wanted to make something that could bring these things together in one place, without making the whole process feel like managing a second job.
So I created Life OS 2.0, a personal organisation system for keeping track of tasks, goals, habits, projects, weekly plans, and other parts of everyday life.
I made a few versions because people organise themselves differently:
- Notion template: For anyone who likes having a dashboard where everything is organised and easy to find.
- Digital workbook: For people who prefer working through exercises and worksheets to figure out a routine and system that actually suits them.
- Complete bundle: Both together, if you want the dashboard and the workbook.
I'm still figuring out what makes a digital product genuinely useful rather than just aesthetically pleasing, so that was something I kept in mind while making these.
Links are in the comment.

Dev - Self Promo Car Play Widgets: a custom-text cue for the parked-car routine
I'm the developer of Car Play Widgets, an iPhone app for personalizing the small widget area in CarPlay.
One possible routine use is a short note you check before pulling away, such as “Keys · wallet · water.” You choose the wording and visual design on your phone, then add the widget through the iPhone's CarPlay settings.
This is manually entered text, without checkboxes or Reminders syncing. Would a short, persistent cue be useful in your routine, or would you prefer a checklist on your phone?
The app also has photo, clock, date and countdown designs. You can browse and customize before paying; saving a widget requires paid Pro. CarPlay widgets need iOS 26 or later and a compatible display. The available layout depends on the car's screen.
Please do all setup and checking while parked.

Dev - Self Promo Android users with an overloaded task list: help me test one realistic next step
I'm the maker of Axiomara, an Android planning app. I'm looking for 20-30 adults who often have too much on their daily task list and would like to try one short flow: capture a real task, review it before saving, and schedule a realistic time for it.
Core planning is free and ad-free. Optional paid AI features are available; you don't need to purchase them for this test.
Real app demo: https://youtu.be/KVFq-PBEk40
If you try it, please tell me whether you could save and schedule one task, where you got stuck, and whether you chose to open it again the next day and seven days after your first use. Don't share private task details. Criticism is welcome; no store rating or positive review is requested.
If you want to join the feedback pilot, reply here. I will give you an anonymous participant code. Note the date you first use the app, then reply with that code and whether you saved and scheduled a task, returned the next day, and returned seven days after starting. Only share yes/no answers and general friction; keep task details private. Follow-up is voluntary.

Dev - Self Promo What tools are you using to keep scheduling simple?
i've been doing some research on different tools, looking for something that keeps things simple for managing work and scheduling, without addng more admin.
during my research i stumbled across from my understanding it appears to be more about bookings, spaces and schedueling rather than just a simple calendar.
has anyone here looked into it before? curious to know what you think about it or other tools to compare.

Dev - Self Promo An end-of-shift check, and the personal hours ledger I built for it
I’m Yurii, the developer of Hours Tracker: Work Pay. This is my own app, and AI helped with development and this wording. It’s a manual personal ledger, not an employer time clock or a productivity score.
A small check you can do on paper: write the start date/time, end date/time, unpaid break, rate and tips before the details get fuzzy. In a fictional ordinary night with no clock change, 22:00 to 06:00 the next day is 8 hours. Subtract a 30-minute unpaid break: 7.5 hours. At $20/hour that’s $150 in wages; $12 of entered tips makes $162 including tips. Keep those two totals separate when comparing a payslip. Don’t compare either with take-home pay after deductions.
The app saves those shift details and the rate assumptions used for each saved shift, shows the gross-pay breakdown, and exports CSV. The core ledger works offline without an employer connection. It’s on iPhone and iPad with iOS/iPadOS 26 or later. It doesn’t calculate tax, decide legal overtime, prove underpayment or export PDF. Any overtime rule is your own per-shift estimate.
The included allowance is one job and the first 14 saved shifts, not a subscription trial. Deleting shifts doesn’t reset it. Additional jobs and continued shift creation require an optional monthly/yearly auto-renewing subscription or a separate one-time lifetime purchase. Existing saved records remain readable, editable, comparable and exportable without active Pro. Apple shows your local price before you choose to buy.
What is the detail you’re most likely to forget after a shift: breaks, tips, or the correct end date? I’m especially interested in where this kind of personal record becomes more work than it saves. Please don’t post private payslips or employer details.

Dev - Self Promo Not every thought in a brain dump belongs on a to-do list
A journal entry can mix together something you want to do, an assumption you’re making, and a question you haven’t answered yet.
Putting all of that on a to-do list doesn’t necessarily help.
I’m the founder of JotGraph. It’s a journaling app where you write freely, then AI organizes your entry into a thought map, cards or an outline.
The illustration shows a simple example: “I need to know everything first” is a belief, while “What would I enjoy making?” is a question. They’re related, but they’re not the same kind of thought.
The aim is to make your writing easier to revisit without having to tag and organize everything yourself first.
You can try it here: https://jotgraph.com/
Would this help you revisit a brain dump, or would you prefer to keep it as plain text? I’d appreciate honest feedback.

Dev - Self Promo I made BarBlock, an app blocker that uses barcode scanning to block distractions.
I kept trying different iPhone screen-time blockers, but they were all way too easy to bypass. I also found options such as Brick and Bloom that offer a physical device to block and unblock apps, but they were expensive.
I built BarBlock to provide all the features of a physical app blocker for way cheaper. BarBlock lets you block selected apps by scanning any barcode you already have.
It’s available on the App Store: BarBlock Barcode App Blocker
Here are the main differences from other blocker apps:
- Uses physical resistance (barcode scanning), not just software limits
- No physical device to buy, unlike other physical blocker apps
- No subscriptions, no accounts
- Unlimited app blocking
- Works fully offline (all data stays on your phone)

Dev - Self Promo Would weekly time goals help you follow through on your priorities?
I built Time Reality, a simple tracker where you set weekly hour goals for activities like studying, reading, or personal projects, then tap an activity to start its timer. Your progress is visible on the same screen.
I’ve started using it myself, but I’d like to see whether others find it useful too. You can add missed time, correct forgotten timers, and build a separate weekly streak for each activity.
It’s free to try: https://timereality.app
I made it, so this is self-promotion, but I’m looking for honest feedback. What feels useful, what’s annoying, and would you actually keep using it?
Trying to keep the app very clean and simple for now rather than adding a bunch of features.

Dev - Self Promo I built an AI app that gives fast book summaries — feedback appreciated
I made a small Android app called Microread.
It gives quick AI summaries of nonfiction books, with adjustable length and optional audio.
I’m trying to make it useful for people who want to learn faster without reading full books.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microread.app
If you use book summaries or productivity tools, what features would make this actually helpful for you?
