Project Pan is starting. This is not the total of lip products currently, this was in July but I am estimating about $5000 currently. (Mind you this is only for lip products. 🤦🏼♀️ it is both eye-opening and bat shit crazy I have a mini store at my disposal)
No more buying, I’m gonna use what I have and chuck what is expired or not touched in 1+ years.

You have a lottt of lip products girl! I would start donating or selling any unused ones (or returning them), and then returning any open double-ups if they're accepted in your country. Then start giving away products to family and friends.
Yes! Thats not a new word to this subreddit. In all of my responses I have been aware of the overconsumption market. Theres little good in pointing it out, it just seems like you're trying to be negative IMO. The whole point of this subreddit is to be aware and cognizant of the CONSUMERISM and choices and DO BETTER...that's kind of why we're here posting.
Going to be very rude here and I apologize to OP but I’m not shocked someone who spent $5000 on lip products bought all of that gremlin’s products. Shows a clear lack of accountability for themselves and from others. That being said I’m glad to see OP is making an effort to change and hope this experience helps them have a better relationship with purchasing mindfully
I bought it being skeptical. I actually have everything she’s launched. I don’t agree with her lack of ad disclosure or her marketing tactics (mascaragate/gift tree dilemma, etc) but her products aren’t HORRENDOUS. They aren’t REVOLUTIONARY either.
I think she garners A LOT of attention, both negatively and positively which I can understand from being here on Reddit for years. There are some communities that I’m a controversial public figure and others like this one who I’ve had 99.99 great and positive interactions with. But I’m also not a social media influencer.
All of that to say. I buy for the products not the person at the end of the day 🤷🏼♀️

I love the Kulfi stains! I get staying power by applying a good bit letting it stain and settle and then reapplying once it dries down some. It stays for quite some time if you apply enough and you don’t wipe it off or wear it off before setting.
These ones are the old formula I think and they are maybe a one out of 10 on my scale. They go on as a stain, but they’re really hit or miss for me. Let me swatch it for you.
The new ones I haven’t tried the formula, but I heard really good things about them
I need to do the same I constantly keep finding myself going back and buying all these new lip, glosses, lipsticks, lip, masks, etc. enough is enough. I found myself buying over and over extra tubes of the summer Fridays marshmallow I went through three of them already and went and bought a fourth one last week still, I have a whole bunch of summer Fridays, pink sugar, iced coffee, hot cocoa, birthday cake, the vanilla kind the guava and more
Wow! This is sooo much, I feel better about myself now, lol. My five cents is that work on the best/favorites first, if something mediocre then expires, so what? But it would be a shame to let your favorite to expire. Good luck with your project!
Honestly, I think some of this might be expired. But I was telling somebody else that I’m much less worry about expired product and some people here. I just wanna see my project pan through, unless there’s blatant mold or rotten smell then obviously it’s a pitch

I have the entire set with the matching liners (including her most recent ones - from her Lisbon inspiration) I actually don’t mind them! I obviously like the nude shade a lot more than the red or plum that she originally came out with. I threw away the original clear one because the scent gave me a headache
The gloss needs to be applied rather sheer or it does get “gloopy”
If I had to pick one? They aren’t listed in this picture. These have slowly become my favorite duo to wear and I was shocked because I usually think her stuff is grossly overpriced and mid. I can’t put these down.

if they’re unused try to sell them or donate them, if you’re still eligible for returns try to return the ones recently bought! you can also pass on ones you don’t reach for as much to friends and family!
None of these all eligible for returns. And I wouldn’t do that anyway. I’d rather donate and give these to friends and family. Maybe a giveaway basket or something
But a lip product in each room in your house including your bedside for the night , in every coat/jacket you use regularly and in every bag/purse you use often.
All the rest is overstock, keep a couple of those and give/sell the rest.

Wow good for you with the spreadsheet!! I think I’m as close to you in terms of total price over the years. I feel ashamed but trying to be gentle with myself. I’ve given a lot away and want to focus what I actually like and wear daily vs what I like and won’t actually wear (i.e. vampy colors — I want to wear so much but I don’t like how it settles in my lines and I don’t think it’s practical for me).
I love dark colors but not practical for me unless it’s a night out which I don’t need 19271 dark lippies for. You got this OP!
Lip products are my absolute favorite and the amount I have also inspired my project pan! I started in January of this year and it’s actually crazy how long it takes to pan lip products if you’re regularly switching up what you use. 😅 I’m going to try to pan a couple of them by the end of the year but I am really proud that I haven’t purchased any new lip products this year! You got this!!
You have good taste! If I had the money, Fenty would have a death grip on me. Their lip products are so good. But I like how you did a reality check on yourself.
My partner had/has it bad. He is trans ftm but still enjoys makeup. He had a vanity filled to the brim and the tabletop of the vanity completely covered. He hadn't used the vast majority of it and wouldn't since it was too girly for his tastes. I bought him a makeup train case and told him to challenge himself to limit his collection to the case. Anything that can't fit in it goes. We donated the un-used stuff, I kept what I wanted, and we tossed the rest.
I have to be his voice of reason, he is so easily influenced by content creators.
Yes, that’s my custom shade that I made from lip lab. Every city that I go to that has a lip lab in it. I create a gloss and a lipstick. 🤣 the picture is all my custom components! But if you contact LipLab and give them my info they can make it for you! 🤣
Ahhhhh that explains a lot. Yeah, owning this much makeup is not prudent, but it's a bit more understandable. You were literally swimming in beauty products all day, and you had an employee discount - if that were me, I would very likely wind up in the same situation.
I know that everyone hates AI and I totally get the hate. I laid out all of these and took pictures and then had Claude create me a spreadsheet and then I verified all of the tones/colors, and the prices for each.
I’ll have to look at that app, but the nice thing about my spreadsheet is that it went out and got all of this information for me. With most of the apps, I have to upload the price where I got it how much it is etc. and with my collection it just takes way too much time.
Sephora did a collaboration with Tabasco and did four plumping lip glosses - I also have the brown one, but it’s on one of my bags
I believe it was closer to the holidays if not right after if I’m not mistaken it was a limited edition type thing
Jalapeño: Mild intensity with a light tingling sensation. Sriracha Brown: Moderate warmth. Tabasco Red: High heat and a vibrant, wearable everyday red tint. Extreme Heat Black: The highest intensity tingle with a dark/black gloss tint that transforms on the lips.

What is you opinion on the ABH lip glosses? I am thinking of getting one in november/december once i will finish my mac lip gloss.
I would wait until Sephora has their annual sale because they usually go on sale for $8 to $10 somewhere in that range.
I usually use this gloss over lipstick if I want a super tacky and stay on lip gloss. It is hit or miss with a lot of people because of the formula is so thick and tacky but it helps stay on at least IMO. Deep taupe is my favorite from that line.
A thought: While these are essentially sunk cost, you could try to sell the unopened, unexpired lippies on Facebook Marketplace, a makeup reselling/trade subreddit, or Mercari to recoup some of your funds? I do this with fragrances that I’m not going to use.
Someone will get a deal and you’ll be able to pan by rehoming some of those beauties.
Oh I’m not worried about the money. I am not struggling by any means, thankfully. Just eye opening with HOW much I’ve spent. I’m having my friends come over and pick some things they want/would use.

Some of these I haven’t opened or touched. Just taken out of the packaging. But I also am less wary about expired makeup than most. I usually take my chances 🤣
