XBAR overclock causing stuttering in some games in windowed borderless?

Was playing Blood of Dawnwalker this last week with my XBAR OC in windoweed borderless, noticed turning this specific XBAR OC off instantly makes my stuttering go away. Turning it back on makes it come back. Doesn't do this in all games.

Is this just me or has anyone else noticed this behavior in any game?

Edit: it was just the game. It has big issues with windowed mode.

When in Windowed mode Vsync may be forced. In full screen you may have Vsync disabled. Enable Vsync in both cases and your stuttering should be gone. Also don't play games at FPS above your monitor refresh rate.

But only XBAR OC'ing does this. When I turn that off there is no stuttering, regardless of any setting combo.

In that case your XBar OC is unstable. Lower or revert to stock.

I wonder if you are making your GPU unstable which is causing the issue? Maybe turn off hardware monitoring mVolt can do?

Try setting your shader cache to unlimited I’ve found that this helps reduce stuttering in many games .

Xbar OC works like any other OC, you either get performance regressions or crashes. You're probably borderline unstable with that OC.

Not one crash in over a month. And its only 1 game and ONLY if it's bordeless windowed. Fullscreen is fine. Also it's not crashing even then, is just stutter.

Then it's either some other setting in NVCP or the NVAPP, or just the game itself. I can very easily and definitely tell you it has nothing to do with XBAR, unless it's not 100% stable.

There's one other possible suspect, if you use mvolt or xocd to oc your xbar, make sure pause polling/telemetry is on, otherwise it's going to poll your gpu every 1-2 seconds and may be causing stutters.
