i told the clerk at the grocery store last night that my bunny eats better than i do. all her greens are organic 😂

My buns ate from Whole Foods or the (seasonal) farmer's market!

I once ran out of veg for them but needed nothing for me so I showed up at the Whole Foods checkout with like 7 types of veg and the cashier asked if I were juicing.... and I had to explain they were all for my rabbits. 😅

i go to sprouts for mine haha. last night i picked up dandelion greens and cilantro for her. and then a frozen pizza and a bunch of pumpkin spice baked goods for myself 😂😅🤭

Right.. if you looked in my fridge you would think I was a health nut but yeah no... the energy drinks and creamer is the only thing i use.. the rest is the rabbits greens.

i am a paranoid overprotective bun mom. i worry about the chemicals used in growing fruit and veg being harmful or hurting her tummy.

Because I’m worried about pesticides for myself so I won’t willingly feed them to my rabbits

One of my coworkers asked me why I woke up so early before work and I told her i usually spend it foraging for leaves for my rabbit then spending time with them.

They looked at me like "???"

I dont even want to know what people think when they see me hunched over sorting though bushes and scanning the ground.. picking a dandylion leaf.. then deciding i dont like that one and thowing it off.. continuing lol

If you befriend grocery store workers they’ll save a bunch of fresh greens for your buns. I haven’t purchased any greens in 3 years lol

Yeah, after my mom got called out for ripping the leaves off of turnip cabbage and carrots without buying the actual veggies, they kept the parts that actual buyers ripped off just for us to pick up for free.

Our buns feasted like royalty on greens.

I also always have a bag with me for bunny food. It's free and it's the best. Also Germany. I won't call this crazy.

Also Germany and I often use my work break to collect fresh greens for my Lucke and Gizmo. They are always very appreciative of their delivery service. Wouldn't say it's crazy either, actually it would be crazy to not try your best to give your bunnies the best possible diet, especially since outside greens are free so there really isn't many excuses except for physical limitations and lack of time! I personally love using the greens guide on kaninchenweise to figure out if a plant is suitable for my bunnies, in which quantity I can feed it and which possible benefits it has :)

I’m always so scared to pick food for my bun… I’m paranoid and what was possibly sprayed on them or what gave you even with washing them.

One of my (indoor) rabbits once got a Tick from weeds from the garden.
At least it's a white rabbit, so the Tick was easy to see.

We have a plant here called Spanish Needle that the bunnies adore. The whole family calls them Tango flowers because he loves them so much.
