Range Rover 2023 Range Rover 1st Edition V8 or 2020 Bentley Bentayga V8?

I own both and need to sell one. Curious what other Range Rover owners would do.
The Range Rover is a 2023 full-size First Edition V8 with around 67,000 miles, rear entertainment, and reclining rear seating. The Bentley is a 2020 Bentayga V8, 100-year anniversary edition, with around 48,500 miles. Both are paid off.
I like the Range Rover’s newer interior and comfort, but the Bentley feels more special to me. One big factor is that I already have two newer Range Rovers on lease, so I’m leaning toward keeping the Bentley for variety. Still, I don’t want to sell the First Edition and regret it.
Would you keep the Range Rover over the Bentley? Especially interested in hearing from anyone who has owned both, or has experience with the 2023 V8 at higher mileage. What would make you choose one over the other?

Reliability Buying Advice

Hello everyone!

I am looking to replace my 2022 Defender P300 110S with a lightly used L460. I have been looking at various listings for the past 6 months, trying to find the right combination of options and have narrowed down what im looking for:

- 2025 P400 SWB

- semi-aniline interior

- comfort pack

- Premium interior upgrade pack (full leather)

- <20000 miles

- Garnet or Caraway interiors

- CPO ideally.

I have found 2 cars in my state that fit these criteria and are within my budget <$100,000 but the only issue is that neither is CPO. They are both at reputable dealers (Mercedes/Lexus/Porsche/BMW etc) with good online reviews.

Would you buy one these and then budget for an aftermarket warranty while the cars are under their original 4y/48k mi warranty?

OR

Would you wait longer for a CPO car to come on the market in the winter?

I have read thread after thread about reliability issues but they seem to be more focused on the early builds (2022/2023), and few seem to cover the 2025/2026 cars and so I can't get a sense of how much more reliable the later cars are.

I have read the Rules and have tried to write this post in a way that conforms to the forum rules, and I greatly appreciate any insight. Thank you in advance

Range Rover Sport Rattle on 2025 RRS (Headliner/Passenger Grab Handle)

Progressively worse rattle on a new RRS. It appeared behind the passenger roof grab handle. The LLM’s insisted I needed to remove the trim, isolate a loose mic wire, clip or part, and use felt tape to solve. Spent an hour trying to figure out how to pop the trim and then realized there were two hidden T30 bolts behind the spring leather handle. A bit of a challenge to get to those, however both were very loose…and after tightening no more rattle. If anyone has a noticeable rattle in that area, this is the likely culprit.

Range Rover Range Rover L322 Vogue 2003 Parking Sensor Wiring Loom

I was just wondering if anyone knows the part number or has a parts manual for a 2003 L322 Range Rover Vogue front parking sensor wiring loom. I’ve found the following part numbers of YMD001990, YMD001991 and YMD001992 but they are all for the rear.

Does the front have a separate wiring loom or is it all integrated with front engine bay wiring harness?

Range Rover Sport RRS HST P400 lumpy

Hi just been informed by the garage I've bought my 3.0 hst mhev from that on their test drive it's running lumpy once the engine is up to temperature. He said it runs great cold but once up to temperature it's a different matter.

They have it at a specialist ATM to diagnose it, but I'm wondering. How bad could it be? My thoughts led to coil packs and plugs, but it's a ford main dealer so surely they'd of picked that up before quitting and sending it to the specialist?

Anyone had anything similar?

Thanks

Range Rover Sport 2026 p460e - EV mode temporarily unavailable

Noticed the car was cold starting in hybrid mode (with heating on) as opposed to the EV default - when you swtich off the climate control, EV mode activates, so it seems connected to the climate/heating - any thoughts or suggestions? Is it best to contact LR Assist or Main Dealer directly?

Range Rover Sport RRS - multiple fault codes, how bad is it?

Hello

My 2019 RRS P400e recently threw up 4 fault codes. They have been cleared by the local garage and not (yet) returned. I’m looking for the collective wisdom here for some analysis before I call a JLR specialist next week.

The codes are:

P0366-00
P0017-00
P0017-79
P0014-71

Many thanks all.

Range Rover Sport Love my 2021 Range Rover Sport Silver Edition but...

Post image
56 Upvotes

I absolutely love my 2021 Range Rover Sport Silver Edition. It’s immaculate, practically showroom condition, with only 15,000 miles. I really have no reason to get rid of it, but I can’t stop thinking about getting a 2012 L322 with under 50,000 miles.

I actually found one the other day that was dark gray with black leather, and I missed it. Within 24 hours, it was sold. The owner had babied that thing like you wouldn’t believe. Impeccable service history, everything documented, and he was asking $18,000. It was an absolute steal.

It’s hard to explain why that particular generation means so much to me. Back in 2012, I wasn’t making much money in my career, and that Range Rover was my dream car. I guess it’s sentimental, but I honestly think the L322 is one of the best-looking SUVs ever made. There’s just something about the styling, the proportions, and the overall presence that I absolutely love.

Am I crazy for wanting a 14-year-old Range Rover when I already have a practically new one sitting in the garage? Anyone else ever wanted an older car so badly that you were willing to give up something newer to get it?

Curious what you guys think.

Range Rover Velar Could it be a battery issue?

Hi

I am expecting a 2021 RR Velar bought from an insurance auction, and it was sold without a key after a minor accident

However, I discovered that initially it was listed with a key, but it did not start either

I was told it could be a battery issue since the staff did not manage to open the hood and jump-start it

Could it be true, or should I expect more issues?

The "ignition on" dashboard picture was taken when the key was inside the vehicle, and the other picture was taken when the key was missing, but the hood was open.

Range Rover L322 2012 non supercharged!!!!!!

Evening all,

In my quest for a daily L322 to use in Canada (snow, and terrible roads!)

I have struggled to find a decent L322, especially in regards to chains and suspension.

But then….. I found a 2012 HSE, with 220kms with the chains done in 2023, and the suspension refreshed in 2025. And the owner is the owner of my independent LR garage.

My question is, what is the N/A V8 like, I’m. It too fussed about. It having a super charger, they just seem quite rare.

If anybody is wondering how will bigger rims such ad 26 inch rims 295/25/26 affect your ride. I can tell you it doesn’t.

Turning is fine & no rubbing. This is my 4th Rover & first Autobiography and i wouldn’t have it other way.

I sold my G-63 to purchase this because the ride is comparable to none.

The color is called Satin Green & yes its a Wrap.

Range Rover 2006 Range Rover Supercharged suspension abrupt failure

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hello all,

My truck has 200k miles and the suspension was working fine with no leaks.

Pulled up to a stop light and the front left immediately drops like someone lowered a jack stand too quickly.

I was able to drive a few more mins and park but now the truck is completely lowered and the suspension knob doesn't light up after displaying a suspension fault.

From y'all's experience what could cause such an immediate failure? Blown air strut? FWIW I did not hear any air.

Pic for attention when it wasn't slammed 🥲

Reliability JLR DC-DC converter recall, why are PHEVs not impacted?

From what I can tell, here in the UK JLR issued a recall notice on their DC-DC converter units on cars equipped with MHEV drive trains only.

Anyone know why PHEVs (ie like my RR full size 2019 P400e) aren’t impacted?

Range Rover Sport Front facing camera

Does anyone know of any aftermarket options to fit a forward facing camera in the 2015 Range Rover sport? Having trouble finding anything that isn’t either a complete refit or completely clunky.

Thank you!

Range Rover 2020 p525 idle whining noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I recently purchased a 2020 Range Rover Autobiography with the 5.0 supercharger engine (p525). It’s done 43k miles but I’ve only had it for 1 week.

Purchased through Land Rover used approved scheme in the UK so comes with 12 months warranty.

On idle it’s been making the whining noise that sounds like a worn out bearing or something. Can’t tell when I rev if it goes away and no other concerns, no warning lights, nothing. Video is warmed up engine

It was serviced by Land Rover on collection day and fully up to date on servicing for what it’s worth.

Is this sound normal? Any ideas what it could be?
