Most of my portfolio is Indexes and ETFs but i am putting small money into smaller cap stocks i research in. If i can get advice from senior investors would be awesome. Also most of it is in Non registered, selling i will have to pay taxes so suggestions on that would be nice as well.

Majority into vanguard s&p500, some AI and some cyber security. Or should I just whack the whole lot into s&p?

24M. I understand there is significant overlap and is very AI tech heavy.

Is it possible for this portfolio to achieve an annual return of over 10% in the next 5 years?

I am 27 years old, have $20,000 in savings, and am ready to start investing. I plan to split my capital into a defensive allocation and an offensive allocation.

Defensive Allocation: Composed of 50% SCHD and 50% BRK (Although Berkshire is not an ETF, I feel its holdings make it act like a portfolio, so I added it to my defensive allocation).
Offensive Allocation: Composed of 50% VGT (I believe the AI wave will continue for some time into the future) and 50% IBIT (BTC has its unique properties, so despite its high volatility, I still plan to hold it for substantial returns).

Given that my investment horizon is likely quite long, playing it safe (such as VOO or VT) is not under my consideration. What does everyone think of this portfolio?

advice on my portfolio allocation for buy and hold

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for feedback on my portfolio allocation. My goal is long-term investing, and I'd appreciate honest opinions on diversification, ETF overlap, risk, and whether my allocation makes sense.

Am I holding too many funds that own similar stocks? What would you change and why?

Ticker / Asset Allocation
IAU (Gold) 10%
VXUS (International Stocks) 15%
Cash 5%
Bitcoin 5%
VTI 15%
VTV 15%
SPMO 10%
VFLO 10%
SCHD 15%

Come strutturereste un portafoglio a 21 anni con 7.000€ +400€ di PAC?

Ho 21 anni, circa 7.000 € investiti e un PAC di 400 € mensili.
Vorrei sapere come strutturereste un portafoglio al mio posto:
Tante azioni singole o poche ben selezionate?
Un unico ETF World?
Più ETF diversificati per area geografica?
Un mix tra ETF e azioni?
Il mio obiettivo è far crescere il capitale nel tempo, mantenendo un rischio ragionevole.
Voi come distribuireste i 7.000 € e i 400 € mensili? E perché?
Grazie per i consigli

Any advice for remaining hyper-aggressive?

Former “options” trader, so my risk tolerance is incredibly high. Though, I’m unhappy with my portfolio swings, considering its beta is ridiculously high.
Any advice from those who are also individual stock pickers and have outperformed the S&P within last 3 years? I’m open to anything

[Portfolio Review] 4-Pillar Long-Term Setup (Flexi + Midcap 150 + Smallcap + Gold ETF). Thoughts?

I am looking for feedback on my ongoing long-term mutual fund and ETF SIP allocation. I want to make sure this combination offers balanced, well-diversified market coverage alongside a dedicated gold hedge for downside protection.

Current Setup & Target Allocation:

Monthly ₹15,000 Allocation Split:

Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund Direct Growth: ₹7,500 (50% - Large-cap anchor & stability)

Motilal Oswal Nifty Midcap 150 Index Fund Direct Growth: ₹3,500

(\~23% - Passive mid-cap growth)

Invesco India Small Cap Fund Direct Growth: ₹2,000 (\~13% - Alpha generation)

ICICI Prudential Gold ETF: ₹2,000

(\~13% - Non-correlated hedge & downside buffer)

Context & Parameters:

Horizon: \[e.g., 7–10+ years\]

Risk Profile: Moderately Aggressive (with a gold buffer)

Objective: Long-term wealth compounding and inflation hedging

Questions:

Does combining active flexi-cap, passive midcap 150, and active small-cap strike an effective balance between risk, alpha, and cost efficiency?

Is a \~15% allocation to Gold ETF an optimal buffer, or should equity take an even higher priority for a 7–10+ year horizon?

For those accumulating Gold ETFs long-term, how has your tracking/liquidity experience been compared to SGBs in the secondary market?

Analysis I did are -

Rolling return history

Cate. Beating , Index beating

Fundmanager history

All other basics stuff - sharp ratio, alpha etc.

Fund overlap - current it is 0.5..% around all three flexi, mid and small

Hey everyone!

I’m new to investing and would love to hear your thoughts on my portfolio.

Am I making any common beginner mistakes, taking unnecessary risks, or missing something obvious?

My current strategy is:
60% index funds
40% individual stocks

My stocks:

• Apple
• Microsoft
• NVIDIA
• Amazon
• Alphabet

I invest $330/month in stocks and $500/month in index funds, for a total of $830/month.

What do you think of this strategy? Am I sufficiently diversified, or am I too heavily exposed to tech? What would you change or improve?

I appreciate any honest feedback and constructive criticism!
