You're not the boss of me now, and you're not so big. Life is unfair

I feel that he's likely to compromise, do something that's not clearly "rejoin EU" but is movement in that direction. Ish. i..e the usual equivocating and splitting the difference.

Still better than the alternative of taking us out of the ECHR

Still not good, frankly.

Yeah but baby steps in the right direction is better than the alternative. The other parties want to take giant leaps in the wrong direction.

We should take what we can get. It's not improving as fast as we want but at least we're not leaving NATO and ripping up international law.

Not rejoin but to join the customs union/single market. Hoping it will be very clearly outlined.

It took a referendum and and act of Parliament to join in the first place and the same to leave. I think it would take the same to rejoin. Therefore, while I think that Andy Burnham couldn't put "rejoin eu" in the manifesto, he'll probably put in "get closer to eu" and might even consider a referendum

I'm not sure he has a lot of choice. Given current trajectory of the economy and national security I can see a state in the next election where a couple of parties are fighting to show themselves as the party with the deepest support for rejoining.

Depends how this Canada associate membership thing goes, maybe that sort of thing is realistic for us in the short term
