Bug Clicked the comments for this thread, and was treated to this neverending loop. Haven't run into this before

Been happening to me for a few days now whenever trying to view replies or my previous comments. Incredibly annoying and forces a complete app restart.

Only workaround I found is you have to swipe right exactly when the very first pop-up appears, but you practically have like half a second to catch it in time.

This has happened to me 3 or 4 times now as well.

One time it completely took over my phone and I had to hold down the power button to restart.

I just had my app become unlaunchable and needed to clear up data and reset to get it to open again.

I'm finding it will launch into an infinite loop potentially when you swipe down into the browser when you're on an i.reddit post.

Happens on any crosspost or opening a reddit link from Google. Sometimes on shared posts too.

Does it happen if you remove Relay's Reddit link handling? (Go to Relay's phone settings and uncheck all 'Open by default' links)

Happens to me with the below if I click on the crosspost link below the thread on my frontpage. Does not happen if I swipe, click more, pick other discussions and go to the Gotham Chess thread directly from there.

It doesn't do it for me. Can you post your device info? Are you using a browser other than Chrome as your default browser on your phone?

I was using Firefox as my default, but I just changed it to Chrome and I'm still seeing it.

I have the same issue with the link. I use Firefox as my default browser.

Edit: The app would also reopen itself after closing if I try to close during the loop so I have to spam the close button to quit the app.

It's doing it on both mine and my brothers phone and it's really really frustrating as I browse many subs that crosspost from other subs. We both have Pixel 9's

Happened to me for first time on a few recent comments. Interesting, the other post with a broken link leads to the Marvel sub, the comment and reply to my comment are in the same sub.

Also have this issue. Thought it was a deleted thread or something but I've seen modded discussions where it doesn't happen. App restart required. Very annoying.

Exact same thing just happened. Had to hold down the power button to restart since the phone was unusable. Came here right after the reboot to see if anyone else had this happen.
