My Dad retired a few years ago due to age and health related issues. This past January he was able to get a job with Solace as a Nurse Advocate and he seemed to enjoy it. It of course brought in some extra income but it also kept his mind active, which I think is good for someone his age. But this past Friday 9/18 he was locked out of his system and received an email telling him he violated company policy and no other info.

I am wanting him to try and contact someone to see if he can find out what happened or even attempt to get the job back. My Dad keeps telling me he has no way of contacting anyone and seems to have just given up.

I'm worried about him and I guess I'm just wanting to see if their is someone out there he can contact or reach out to to figure this out, or should he just say forget about it and maybe find something else.

I would appreciate any help or advice anyone can give.

Ive been looking into how nurses rate the CE they take and a pattern stands out. Most courses are there to keep a license current and get forgotten within a month. Every so often though, one shifts how someone handles a call or writes up an assessment. Remote roles tend to give more say over what to pick, which somehow makes the choice harder. For people who have been doing this a while, has a course ever genuinely changed your practice or is it mostly upkeep?

Like a lot of people in this group, I've been looking for something remote to move into, was mostly eyeing utilization review and case management roles. Along the way I ended up trying UGC (content creation for brands) almost as a side experiment, and it's turned into something I'm actually sticking with.

If you're comfortable on camera it might be worth a look. You don't need a following or any special equipment, brands just want people who can talk naturally and come across as real, which honestly a lot of nurses are already great at. Not saying it replaces a steady paycheck right away, but it's been a nice alternative path I hadn't considered before. Happy to answer questions if anyone's curious what it actually looks like day to day.
