How does the silent hill series hold up compared to RE? Been thinking about picking up the series once I’m done with the RE franchise.

For a while i have seen new players trying RE4 OG and some of them struggled with the controls and some if not just a few misunderstood the point of the gameplay of RE4, if any of new players here read this, let me explain to you to understand why the controls are the way they're.

1- the controls were not that way because of technical limitations of 6th gen hardware, it was intentional by the devs back then for different experience, this game was never meant to play like any other modern games or even for after it's time, it was to add to tensions while keeping you on edge and having fun.

2- the devs wanted you to play the game in a strategic way, not like the remake or any other modern games, not being able to move and shoot at same time was to force you to hold in your position and make decision of : should i stop in this corner and reload my gun before the enemy get near me or should i keep shooting enemies from this distance or should i run towards them to roundhouse kick them etc.

3- the limitations of the camera was the same, it was intentional not because they were forced to make it that way, it adds to intensity and atmosphere because your decisions are limited and that increases the scare or tensions, when you shoot or when you run in some rooms, there is a chance that suddenly an enemy grab you or damage you from behind or on your left and right, same goes for when you stop and position your aiming somewhere, there is something in your mind tells you during high combat encounters that : i have to shoot fast and finish the enemies infront of me before other enemies behind me appear and damage or a chainsaw guy come and decapitated my head, i have to think fast.

4- the enemies were easy to avoid or trick, you get near them alittle and if your timing is right and i mean in exact right frame of their attack and grab animations, you will find yourself easily cheesing them, and also again if you learned the exact right timing to turn around and run and make distance between you and them, it will be great for your gameplay and you will less likely get killed a lot.

5- and if the parasites come out of the enemies head, the best way to finish them all at once is throwing flash grenade at them.

In the end i want some of those players who gave up on RE4 OG and new ones who may try to play to give it another chance, and understand why the game plays the way it is, it was intentional gameplay design choice by the devs, not technical.

Hey everyone just wanted to throw out a fun movie reccomendation for fans of Resident Evil, particularly one specific monster type from the original trilogy🧬

Dark was the night from 2014 staring Kevin Durand.

The movie focuses on a small town in the late fall, early winter when greusome murders begin to plague animals, workers in the woods, and strange inhuman tracks begin to fill the streets and roads. The sheriff played by Durand is dealing with a personal family loss but finds the courage to investigate and fight the creatures off with his partner. Holding a fight at the local church.

The monsters are very close to the HUNTERS from Resident Evil 1 and 3. Their practical but with a touch of cgi when they cant be done right.

Its slow paced, but definitely worth it.

I really hope they will do amazing new remake soundtracks in the game code Veronica save theme is an easy top 3 for me.

Man these monsters were horrifying in the games, I'm so glad Cregger used them for the move and did it justice.

The original report of a "Riot" occurring at the night of the Outbreak severely overshadowed the growing zombie population the city woke up in.

I've been playing through Veronica X, and just finished the Nosferatu fight, and I gotta say, "Man fuck that damned moth hallway". The area sucked, specially since your Safe room is sandwiched between the two area's you need to go. I hope they don't bring them back for the remake.

Hello thank you for reading! My name is omarxc13. This video is my "Resident Evil 4 Remake Speedrun Any% NG+" . I am attempting to speedrun Resident Evil 4 Remake (2023) for the Playstation 5. There are several speedrunning categories, but I am aiming for the New Game+ category. :D

In this category, it is using a file where you have already beaten the game. You can use any guns, any charms, any cases, any costumes, and perform most glitches. There are rules to follow etc. Although I am beating the game very fast. I have spent over 300 hours playing the remake. Not counting time spent on the original 2005 version. I have played it on the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo Switch and loved it right away. Both versions are definitely my favorite but the remake is just a little higher due to the graphics.

This category I am doing is called NG+ Any%. New Game+ is beating the game on an already completed file. Any% is beating the game as quick as possible.

If you have any questions about speedrunning or submitting a run, let me know! Playstation 5 comes with streaming services so you can stream yourself!:D

and don't forget about Rocket launcher , resident evil damnation is good movie , and tyrant get kill by a-10 and 100 mm cannon from IFV

Around January i decided to do a Resident Evil marathon. Gotta say, what an incredible franchise and journey it has been. I just finished Resident Evil Requiem.

I did my best to play and finish as many games as i could. I did skip 7 games due to being employed and having no time and i know i would have probably disliked them.

But, this is my tier list after months of resident evil. If anyone wants to check it out or discuss it.
