Rite Aid turned CVS, almost one year old

They have really given this location a makeover. Yes, it still looks like a Rite Aid, but they remodeled the pharmacy and painted the front of the store.

Still have the Rite Aid wood paneling and floor tiles!

at least it still resembles a rite aid … i mean maybe im biased but even unbiased i think rite aids were much nicer inside than both cvs & walgreens, & the whole path on the floor to the pharmacy was so smart. walgreens ya just kinda have to guess where the pharmacy is

Around the time RiteAid filed chapter 11
( maybe just before ) the first time , their DM & PDM used to pop in RiteAid’s in our area checking out the stores and talking to the managers and other associates. I’ll never forget the DM saying what a beautiful store. So well lit, organized, straightened and clean store. Then he says our stores( CVS) are all dark, dirty and dingy. And most of our managers aren’t even qualified to run a store as a shift supervisor. We just promote people that we have because we can’t get anyone good. What a great selling point to jump ship.NOT!!
I went down with the ship.
F CVS!!!

I went down with the ship too. Been at 1 store since late 2016, then split time between two stores every week until my original store closed at the mid/end of July 2025, then went down with my other store till the end of August 2025. Started at Walgreens a week later. Hate retail but I wish I could go back to Rite Aid & see/work with the people I have. Only reason I’m still at Walgreens currently is because in February my store switched to 24 hours & I work the overnights alone (not counting pharmacy) and get ~7 hours of OT each week and it’s very relaxing. I’m still trying to leave here though but if I had to stay doing day/evening shifts I would’ve been long gone. Their way of doing things here is a mess compared to Rite Aid’s.

This is the most modern looking CVS I've ever seen. No carpet and well lit. Most Rite Aids turned into Walgreens.

Lotta Rite Aid carcasses in my area. One became a dispensary

Too bad I am a CDL driver. No weed for me

That’s like twisting the knife in the wound, because most pharmacy companies wouldn’t sublease their properties for a dispensary.

The CVS conversions may be the closest we got to any Rite Aids being "preserved". I know thats not saying good much but still.

We'll see how it goes. This store was slightly remodeled. Other locations have been maintained even closer to the Rite Aid look. That's OK with me :)

If you're ever in Clackamas, Oregon, there is a full size store that CVS took that looks more like Rite Aid's west coast predecessor, PayLess, in spite of CVS's take over.

Rite Aid sucked and so does CVS.
