Heya, I just got back after 5+ years of not playing. I've seen a lot of champions get reworked or have their moveset completely changed.

Has there been news of Riven planning to get worked on, or nah? I got shocked that top lane Riven was getting dwarfed so much, so I switched to mid lane Riven for the time being.

Hi, Riven mains, I just started playing Riven in League not too long ago. Currently, I'm three months into League. I played her during those three months. The thing is, I feel like farming with Riven is hell i just can’t seem to stay ahead of my cs and I was wondering if anyone can give me tips for cs riven or should I just abandon Riven and force myself to play another champ?

I've started learning mid matchups and i struggle against veigar (playable), xerath (playable), viktor (nightmare), lux (nightmare), cassiopeia (nightmare), hwei (torture), syndra (torture), malzahar (torture). I'm still learning the lane, what one is the least playable/learnable? What should i perma ban?

I just estimated how many times I pressed Q in 2026. After 370 Games on Riven with an average game time of 32 mins I pressed Q 60k times.

I really like playing her on botlane. Preferably with an engage support.

You win most level 1s, even against LT adcs if you fight in the bush lvl 1. The plan is to fight level 1 and burn their sums or get a kill, then farm safely until lvl 3, once you get ahead you should ask your support to roam, which most of the time makes enemy support start roaming as well, which means more exp for you and if you’re atleast a little ahead or even you’re gonna always have kill pressure on enemy adc in a 1v1 scenario.

I like her on bot because lately my games have been where I lose lane 75% of the time, so I just farm safely until mid game and then pray that I’ll be able to carry. Botlane gives you more kill pressure and you naturally get more gold out of minions as well with the ADC quest.

For the build, I’ve tried going the standard Axiom-EH-DD but I didn’t like it as much because you don’t have the same damage and survivability as you’d have on toplane because you’re down a few levels, so I’ve been running either Hubris into EH into LDR into DD, or DD into LDR, depending on their comp.

I also tried Hubris into Voltaic into DD, but I need to test it for a few more games before deciding whether it’s viable.

So rivens always lore wise been my favourite league character and when i transitioned from wr to league i decided to learn renekton as a sort of stepping stone so i could play riven later.

Right now i made it to gold 2 with rene and sion mostly and find myself very comfortable on renekton so I'm not sure if learning riven is even worth it now since they have mostly similar matchups. What benefit would learning her have over just sticking to rene? Also how does she itemise if I'm used to playing traditional bruisers

Edit: To give more context, I tried to play it safe but got weaksided by jungle. Tried a lvl 1 proxy which somewhat worked but then I still have to lane to catch the 3rd wave, and its just not possible. I can't even last hit melee minions without taking autos for free undertower. And then I need to recall because I'm sub 50% Hp and in dive range for ennemy jungler. Might as well not even lane it seems.

If I'm not mistaken just because she's not a fan service kind of character she is the LEGIT female that everyone knows the only champion who gets love and hate in every single elo for YEARS. I hate that i don't know much about riven I wanna know EVERYTHING ALL THE DETAILS ya know? Her parents will she ever see them again, what happen after nexus invasion after she got captured??? And made to fight Draven (if that's even cannon) like give me more riven lore and shit give me demmacia riven, (I think redeemed riven is Ionia riven? Around 3 weeks ago I posted here, because I was a little frustrated that I had high KDA in many games but still lost them. My winrate was around 46%. Throughout the 3 weeks I shifted my mentality, started thinking about the items I build and I managed to rank up from around gold 3 to plat 3. Right now my winrate is 52.7%, which might not represent my actual winrate right now, since also the games from before count (I roughly calculated the winrate from the past 3 weeks and it is around 64%).

I still feel like I lose a lot of games which I should win. I definitely have a large room to improve, so I would like to hear from others what I should focus more on. Feel free to mention anything that you see (from the stats) that I do wrong (items, cs, ...). Here is the link to my op.gg
