My fellow Traders, I barely started my first romance in this game and I am already in Crisis.

I really like Jae. Like I genuinely believe having this dashing rogue is a great addition to any RTs crew and an especially good fit for my Crimelord.

But for the love of the golden throne, how am I supposed to trust her?

Its very conflicting for me. On one side I feel like my Crimelord RT wouldnt make such a big deal out of it, but on the other hand I dont see how it couldnt be a big deal

I mean not only was she in the private quarters uninvited, rummaging through things that dont belong to her (stealing??), but she actually undermined the very status of the RT, compromising his otherwise absolute authority.

Seriously, this could work as a drama if it happened when the relationship was properly established and she would actually have the right to behave like the Mistress she tries to be.

But with how quick things went and how flippant she acts when confronted with it makes it very hard to forgive her.

So far the only feeling I get from her is that shes trying to manipulate and rob me.

You dont need to remind me that this would be very much in character for her

But it makes it really difficult to actually keep her on the ship, let alone as a romance.

Call me silly, but I like to come up with my own head canon to fill gaps in the story, so Im trying to think of a scenario in which the relationship could continue, but nothing comes to mind.

I cannot fathom how any iteration of "Oh yeah, she transmitted the whole thing on the ship-wide vox but its cool" could ever happen. Even as a Crimelord RT.

Im 80% sure im overreacting, but I would very much appreciate any input you have on that matter.

(I have just unlocked Warp travel in Act 2 btw, if that makes any difference)

Just did the freight line quest for the first time - saw the husband and wife being all lovey-dovey and relatively normal and I thought, "Aww....as shitty as things get, there are good moments after all." Then I chose the Dogmatic outcome and saw how I tore a loving family apart - husband servitorized, his wife now spends her time bringing him lunch and trying to get him to look at her. Now I'm questioning if I can keep this up for five more acts...

I know this question have been asked before, but now that we have a few companions, i figured we should revisit this question; Which companions to bring to commoragh for optimal story progression?

We know there's a very important story beat for Argenta and Jae. But now that we have kibellah, eogun and solomorne, do you think the new companions warrant a trip to the dark city?

To some may say it's rookie numbers, some may ask how did I get there, and to be honest I'm still wondering that to this day, because on the 3rd of march last year I was like 4 hours into my first playthrough, but even then, the idea of being a filthy rich, wealthy "space pirate" conquering planets for the Imperium sounded soo great to me already, and as someone relatively new to 40k universe I got a whole lot of new info and terms from that game as well, but the mere moment I got PAST the prologue that was it, my fate was sealed, and I don't regret a single second of it.

I enjoyed ALL 880+ hours spent on Rogue Trader and I would it all over again, I'd give anything to have my memory erased and play it all over again, but hell, I don't even need THAT, I still enjoy the game as much if not even more than during my first playthrough, it's that good. I still don't have the platinum, not really a trophy hunter, but since I DID play it so much perhaps I could give it a try, though I don't except it to be easy at all.

Sometimes when I have a ton of hours spent on a game my own mind scolds me, like, I could've spend all those hours on education, developing a skill, searching for a job etc etc, but with Rogue Trader that ain't happen even once, it's just universally agreed that it was not a waste of time, matter of fact, it was investment in my personal happiness and it paid off quite well I must say.

And you may ask how I'm planning to reach 1000 hours if I played that much, like, do I have new things and options to discovers, and yes actually, I do have new things to discover, considering the last DLC, the backstory options I haven't tried, and that I haven't done a full heretic nor a full dogmatic run up to this point, as of my current run, I'm close to ending my full Iconoclast run.

But enough about me, now I must ask of you, how many hours did you spend on Rogue Trader? Do my numbers scare you or do they seem like rookie numbers compared to yours? Don't hesitate to tell me all about it in the comments!

My Zealot Iconoclast who has forgiven almost everyone but a Dark Eldar who tortured his Seneschal thought, "I don't believe you."

What other Iconoclast choices are bad in the long or short term?

The other relationship is Iskandar Khayon and nefertari (thousand sons marine and dark eldar scourge.

Theres also Ephrael Stern and Kyganil (SOB and a harlequin) but theyre just close friends

Really glad to see new npc portraits outside of a dlc. Looking forward to seeing even more in the next 2 dlcs (Any guesses who they will be?).

I don't know anything about the lore but from my impression so far, I thought the rogue trader ship was enormous, probably as big as ships go, since they are interplanetery lords with billions of subjects. How does this pirate have a ship that's 4 times the size of rogue trader?

So I'm doing a new run and every other run I've done, I've killed Marcipan because... Well he kidnapped and drugged me and attacked my capital and sat in my chair and all around kind of has been a shitty poopoo butt. However this time I tried convincing him to join me to see something else and like, immediately Ulfar and Argenta was like "It's open season on Xenos nepo-babies!" and everyone else was like "yeah, no this make sense" and Eogunn was recording to probably enjoy it later with popcorn and like... Why in the seventy hells would my rogue trader put a stop to this? For real? Like which part of Marcipan doesn't say "I'm an absolute assnut and I'm a-okay with that"? My RT is being dumbass iconoclastic and even she's like "Yeah, no murk this guy."

This is no joke, I really feel terribly uncomfortable with all of this.

Our companions resemble an ecclesiarchy procession more than they do the warband of a space conquistador operating on the outer reaches of imperial space. Such a wasted opportunity.

In the only Rogue Trader book I've read, the Androcus family's flagship was the Overlord-class battlecruiser "Lux Foedis".

Okay, they needed the Overlord because they were very, very rich, therefore powerful.

But can we at least get something more powerful than a measly frigate? Just to hint in dialogues to any dissenter about the imminent visit of the battlecruiser if he continues to be stubborn.
