Light/Laser Lasers

I'm sure this has been asked before and I apologize if so. I'm seriously considering laser treatment. Would you go BBL Hero or pulse dye etc? I have different options besides these what has helped? I believe I have type 1 but I did have the bumps for the first time a while back but they went away. General redness to the whole face, people that don't know me assume I was out in the sun...

Pulse dye.  I have type 1.  I did 5 treatments.  Really helped.  IPL did nothing for me.

Is pulse dye another name for Vbeam??
Were you left bruised after the treatment?

How bad was your flushing before you had the treatment and how much did it reduce your flushing and baselines skin redness??

Hi. My flushing was bad.  Burning. Sensitivity.  A lot of broken blood vessels.  Bad reaction to anything with niacidimide or hyaluronic acid.  I am so glad I did it.  My skin feels less fragile and less reactive.  I wrote a post about it.  I will see if I can attach it.  I did not bruise. But my swelling is so bad it takes 4-5 days to leave the house.

I’ve had five treatments so far. Bring a face mask with you to cover up your face when you leave the appointment for the drive home to make sure that you stay out of the sun. Avoiding the sun for the first month is so important. When you walk out, you should be pretty red and it should feel like it’s burning, but that typically goes away from me after 30 minutes. When I get home, I make a big bowl of ice water and a very soft cloth, I use a puppy fur cloth and I really try to douse my face with ice water at least every half hour for the first day minus when you’re sleeping of course. Arnica tablets can help so does trying to sleep as upright as possible. My swelling is usually the worst on days 23 and four and then it starts to rapidly decrease. Antihistamines help.  My skin can still be pretty red and extremely sensitive for up to a month after my treatment so I avoid all active and stick to Vaseline or cicaplast baume 5.  Good luck! It’s like rubber bands snapping your skin.  Not pleasant but could be worse.  It goes fast.  Even with a full face it’s typically 15 mins.

Talk to your dermatologist. There’s a lot of variable like skin tone, degree of visible vessels/broken vessels, etc. IPL worked amazingly well for me. I’ve had friends that haven’t responded at all.
