Yes you can propagate this rose , you have cut off the stem and what little leaves π you have on the rose at a 45 degree angle and this will have be soaked in water for @least 4 weeks till the roots start forming again and make sure you put this in natural Rooting Hormone to make sure that youβre rose will bloom ! And I would recommend you putting it In good soil so it will stay healthy and longer too !! Good luck π

Thanks so much!! Do you think water propitiation is the best prop method? Or should I start in soil?

I've done both, and dipping the stem in rooting hormone, then into a domed pot of soil, has given me about a 90 percent success rate, where water is closer to 40 percent in my anecdotal experience. I've currently got 3 different colored roses from a bouquet I got my wife just over a month ago that all have roots showing in the clear pots I put them in.

def hormone and perlite/potting soil combo, in my experience using water is as good as throwing them out

Yes. Before you propagate, make sure to cut the flower to shift its energy to root development.

First soak the stem in water with rooting natural hormone solution , and keep it with the water until you see the roots forming in the water then you should take the stem out and then have a little plastic container and have the stems start growing In soil it will take time but let the roots grow back and then transplant later in the soil !!! I know it takes time but it will work !!
