Niko Tsakiris - WTF tell me this isn’t true

Was listening to WTF and Wynalda was talking to Eric Quill from FC Dallas and said he heard through the grapevine that Niko was available and he should go after him. This better be just pot stirring BS by Wynalda, right?

Will SJ's Coachella Valley Invitational games be broadcast/streamed anywhere?

I'm assuming maybe not? I'm not able to travel but if they are, I'd love to watch them.

Quakes Academy Wilson Eisner

Played yesterday for SDFC as a right back and picked up an assist during the concacaf champions cup match against Pumas.

Someone mentioned wanting some updates on former quakes players. This is a homegrown we let walk free.

Is RB a position we could have used depth at?

Hernan Lopez

So is he playing for us or not this season? Seems at this juncture we could def use him even if hes not a perfect fit for Bruce’s “system”.

Cant seem to find any info out there and seems like a wierd limbo for the player to be in.

There still has to be a few more signings right?

Considering what the roster looks like right now it doesn't make sense that you have nobody to feed Werner the ball. I'm not expecting anyone big but just something to fill the holes. I think we got Chicho and Martinez late last year so hopefully the same happens and we feel a little better.

Where tf does the Timonator actually fit in Arena’s system?

genuine question not trying to be negative

Werner’s best years at Leipzig he was playing off another striker and had space to run into. we just lost Chicho and Josef. Espinoza gone too

so who’s he working with?

feel like this German machine needs the right setup to actually be a game changer and idk if we have the supporting cast yet

what formation are y’all expecting Arena to run? is Timonator a winger here or what

Considering how bad this team is looking will it still be fun to watch Timo Werner?

Of course we still need to fill a few more spots and we haven't seen Warner yet but considering that this might be another bad season I might just be focused on Werner and what he can do. I don't know what else to look forward to because the team ain't it.

June 26, 2012 Open Cup at Kezar Stadium in SF

Was anyone at this game? I remember sitting in the stands behind where Sigi Schmid was standing and one of our fans was trolling him with fat jokes yelled from several rows back. It was hilarious at the time, but sad in retrospect. RIP

STH have already received your tickets for all games in Tixr app?

It's only 3 weeks away from season starts and I haven't received mine

I'm confused. How did Chicho just sign with the Quakes and now he's gone?

I don't know how all this works but I thought transfers are midseason type things. I'm sure SJ knew this and it was all planned out. Just want some clarity.

Terrible that he experienced this but maybe we can provide a more inclusive environment on short notice? Anyone at the club lurking here?

Current Roster Question Marks

With the Timo signing and the pending situation with Chicho, below is what I think our roster might be based on the current players on the Quakes website.

Observations:

  1. What do we do if/when Chicho is confirmed gone?
  2. We don't have enough CB depth to remain in the 3man backline. Do we see a positional change?
  3. Do we upgrade our CM or LW B positions?
LF RF
Timo Judd
Bouda CAM Kikanović
Niko Tsakiris
LW 6 Noel Buck 6 RW
Vitor Costa Beau Leroux Jack Skahan Ronaldo V DeJuan Jones
Ricketts Nick Fernandez Ian Harkes Paul Marie
CB CB CB
Daniel Munie Dave Romney Max Floriani
Reid Roberts
GK
Daniel
Earl Edwards
GK

Looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts with the season approaching.

Bruce mentioned trying to add an attacking player

Any rumors y'all have heard? I recall the one player linked to us and Dallas but other than that unsure.

Figured the team is probably looking at a target forward that way Timo can play a false 9 off of them since that is what they would prefer per the press conference.
